Hey Patrick, pretty sure I will have the correct alternator in my lockup. I have a few of them all proper Valeo ones
I helped Andy elder out a year or so back too with a similar request
Drop me a message and I will try and help
Thanks
Pete
So a full recommission but not even refreshed the sachs.
It’s over priced especially as the prices of trophy’s and all second hand cars have been dropping recently..
Agree with the post above
Don’t go spending £4k on that rebuilt motor. I spoke to ktec about it last weekend when the Conrod exited by Clio 182 at snetterton - they were there as part of the championship. Yes it’s had work done to it but it’s not worth £4k in my opinion
You can get a running...
The race versions were much cooler. Buy this and convert it to road spec

No way, I thought this day would never come but glad it has gone to a new person who will have the same dedication and determination to look after it as well as you did
so what’s next ? V6 clio??😂😂
Hi all,
I am after a few things for a clio 182. There isn’t as many cars being broken at the minute so just checking to see if anyone has any spares lying around
1. battery bracket in the engine bay
2. Lower dash
3. Lower dash
4. Brake pedal sensor
happy to collect
thanks

That’s strong money in my opinion, so key is 1. Sachs rebuilt 2. Cambelt done 3. Original parts such as the springs, back seats 4. Recaro’s don’t have any rips 5. Good service history 6. Pink door handles and roof strips sorted all the normal stuff really.
I think these 100k cars are around...
I think the posts about the possible rust on the rear of the car didn’t help and a few other Facebook comments without people actually seeing the car didn’t help the seller to get a good price.
I think the engine mods were good and should compliment the price/car so a bit surprised it didn’t...
Hi all,
thanks for the messages, mystery solved.
P90HMR is in fact 336 not 366 which clears up the mileage query on the mot. When I chased up the seller they rechecked the number and said it’s definitely 336
thanks
Hi all, I am debating whether to buy a clio trophy again or an rb182. For context I bought my old trophy 409 for £2.5k and ran it up to 135k as a daily from bristol to Preston everyday for 8months. As such I get the prices have soared recently but I don’t really want to spend £12k on a trophy...
Thanks all, good advice.. would you put the dynax in straight on after you have cleaned it up? Or is it worth while using something like zg90 paint first to bring it back to black and then put the dynax stuff on top? Thanks
Hello, the recline button would be on the wrong side but other than that I think it would be fine.
It’s 4 bolts for each seat - think it’s a deep 17mm socket underneath the car in between the exhaust tunnel from memory.
I am going to take the seats out of my 172 this week, so will take some...
Yep Paul Clarke is absolutely excellent. He has serviced all of my Clio’s for the past 10 years and multiple people’s trophy’s. Definitely would recommend.
Drop me a message and I will text you his number.
Thanks Pete
I had mintex 1144 and used them everyday and for sprinting my clio trophy at places like Coombe, landow etc and they never missed a beat. But some people say they are rubbish but my experience was a good one
Hi all,
Any trophy’s likely to come up for sale soon? I have seen the ones on eBay and they don’t have Sachs or are not original so keen to ideally get one needing some work or ready to go.
I used to own number 409 but sold it last year. I am after one to be driven rather than stuck in a...
There are a few cars about at the minute but in my opinion the prices being asked isn’t representative of the quality, prep and standard of the cars.
for example there is one on 126k with little or no info on the belts, Sachs refurbs and a few other things - the seller wants £6k.
Good luck and...
Agree I removed all of the seats on my drive with axle stands. You need a deep socket 17mm from memory to avoid the exhaust and then you are away.
definitely worth just trying to move the one bit of carpet for dampness before you start taking the whole interior out. Thanks
