this exact problem happened on my MK1 172....the bracket that holds the right side of the ECU unit has snapped where it meets the bolt intended to hold it in place... for a temp fix i loosened the M10 bolt and nipped the bracet with the washer...has this happened to anyone else...a ECU unit...

I have just ordered a nice red Samco elbow joint to get rid of the horrible black one which conncets to the Airbox. Was lookingto get the rest of the hose sorted but tbh it looks like to much effort and once fitted half of the hoses are hidden. I am also getting the ECU remaped at the end...
