Lovely craftmanship that, love the trophy lettering at the bottom. Looking at getting one myself do you mind if i asked how much you paid?

That looks great, I bought a wheel already done which is very good, but that looks even better. I have a spare wheel so I may get that one done as well.

The guys name's Andy and goes by the username SNAPPY on the Clio Sport forum; pm him on there.

He works for Bentley apparently and going by his wheel refurb work, not in accounts!
Good guy.

Mmm that leather looks gorgeous to grip, with slightly sweaty hands, as you feel the steering load up approaching a fast left - right sequence!

Far better than the partially melted, rippled, plastic, leather (I dare not hold the rubber inserts tightly as they are bound to crack) Renault saw fit to use! (And mine isn't that bad!)

I imagine it improves the car so much, just having something nice to hold. And £150 is a bargain for that

That looks awesome! I was going to get mine done in the next few weeks. I know what I'm asking for now.

Does anyone know if there is a certain condition that my current thumb grips need to be in to get this done?
Cheers

I spoke to snappy about this and he said the condition is not important as they are replaced anyway

Snappy's work is awesome and one of the best things I have treated the Trophy too (along with a Richbrook slant gearknob).

The only downside is the turn around time and Snappy's communication. He can days/weeks just to respond and I think in total the whole process took almost 2 months from contacting him initially to recieving the finished item.

Cheers for the info. Will just buy one of the many shoddy ones on ebay then and send him that to get done up. 2 months wait is worth it. Gear knob does look nice too. Will look into that now...

I just bought one of cliosport in pretty poor condition and it got turned around in 3 weeks. Like people have said the thumb grips don't matter brand new ones get put on and you can even specify what type of thumb grips.
I downloaded some of his previous work and looked at the differences and decided. It's definitely worth it
