Thats an absolute bargain despite the mileage!

Think we may have crossed paths before as I live near Bluewater.

i don't think trophy for £6.8k and reluctantly selling can go in the same sentence

that will go within a day!

I was going to say exactly the same - it's a steal, surely you could ask for more than that?!

Why so low if you don't mind me asking? I think you should be able to pick up £8.3k quite happily.

Hi all;

I have ordered a new car for 1st march and currently have made a deal with Renault for them to take it off my hands (as expected they want it for free!!) I do want, and hope to sell it privately though but i need to sell it before March - hence the price.

From the reaction though perhaps it is under priced, i obviously want to sell it for more but don't want to pay lots for advertising incase it doesn't pay of and i'm still left with the Trophy at the end of Feb.

It does need two front tyres and brake pads all round so i suppose i took this into consideration.

I think i might bite the bullet and try one attempt of putting it in Auto Trader and upping the asking price.

Try PistonHeads. There are a lot of like minded people on there and its free to advertise. Im pretty sure someone will take it off your hands.

I sold a 'toy' Trophy to a GT3 owner, I wondered why he wasn't in a rush when the brake upgrade took a while to arrive !

I agree £7995 sounds OK since you just had it serviced and it's one owner - as discussed earlier, I would probably have it off you if you have it when the new car lands.

Needs to go to a low miles user :)

Yeah, buy it, do no more than 5k a year and get the average down to a sensible amount in 3 years or so
Did you sell the Trophy to a guy in Swansea? There's one up on p-heads buy a guy who owns a 997 and doesn't drive the Trophy enough.

That is far too cheap, it really is.

Ok so she has a few miles but you want to be asking at least £8k. The sort of price you are tabling here is possibly a touch less than artdealer would purchase off you for. PM the guy, he is a trophy sales specialist on this forum.

I am slightly biased as we all are, I wish to see residuals stay high of course.

Honestly mate you have 2 months to sell, that is an awful long time to sell a car, let alone one limited to 500 examples, only about 5 or 10 of which are ever going to be on the market at once.

I would advertise now if I were you and price it at £9k, then drop the price £500 for every 2 weeks of the advert running, then the final two weeks it will run for £8000. Autotrader ads cost only £35 and run for 6 weeks.

There arent a lot of Trophys about and the minimum I would price it if it was my car is £8000. I'd be looking to accept £7500.

I dont have any affiliation to Autotrader but I can tell you that you WILL have a lot of interest even at £8000. I'm prepared to put £5 on it to be honest!!!

Finally, (edit to add) I think your biggest risk may be selling the car too early and being without transport for a few weeks, but that said if you do get £8000-8500 for your car then you can swallow a £400 worth of hire car and still be 'up' ;)

hmmmm... my new house has a garage.... just need to find some money

though all things considered i personally don't think the price is too far off the mark... gotta remember that a lot of people don't like higher than average mileage Renaults, especially when they have expensive suspension

That's a scarily low price and if it was mine i think i would have chanced my arm at eight and a half and been open to offers.
