anyone had any problems with these?? mine seems to have ripped the hanger off the rear box on the o/s. is this a common fault??? only had a quick shufty but n/s seems to be braced, o/s not. bit of a shite design imho.

which ktec exhaust is it? I've got the "ultra performance super sport" version on mine, had no problems with it, seems pretty well made and sits real nice ( on my homemade exhaust mounts )

not sure mate. it was on the car when i bought it. knowing the previous owner, id say its one of the higher spec ones, i.e not the usual quiet shite. i will try to get some pics tomorrow. is there anything i should look out for that will tell me the exact spec??

I'll put some pics up, its down to the design of the backbox, and whether it has a silenced centre section or not, if they dont have a silenced centre section they become the "super sport" version of either exhaust!

yea look the same as mine! not good!! what state were the hangers in? if the rubber was knackered and it was bouncing around in the metal frame that might not help! I'd give them a ring, pretty sure the lifetime warranty only applies to the original customer but they might be able to help?

Judging by the picture from the day you brought it home the exhaust seems to be hanging super low, indicating the exhaust hangers were probably fooked :/

Were they genuine Renault? Or just cheapo ones? I put some cheapo ones on and they were hanging after about 6 weeks, ended up making my own out of some polybushes!!

I'll second that - used cheapy ones from ebay and sent them back for a full refund. Went to Renault and those have been fitted over a year and still look 'near' new.

Looks to me like the original OEM mounts have had it and not the exhaust it self. The warranty of the exhaust won't cover the rubber mounts.

In the last picture you posted, have the welds broken? Hard to tell from that picture, if they have then the warranty should cover it.

Also in the past I used some nuts and put them in the gaps between the rubber mounts with cable ties to reduce the movement of the exhaust which helped to extend the life of them.

not sure mate. as i said, was the previous owner that fitted them. il have to give him a bell n find out. was thinking of polybush ones too funnily enough lol

yes mate, the welds have broken on the o/s, the hanger is rolling away from the back box from the bottom. will the warranty only cover original buyer??? not sure if adi bought it 2nd hand or not tbh.

will have a proper look when i have time. lol. but thanks for the tip. be worthwhile doing with new ones. although i am tempted to cut my losses with the exhaust and get a decent quality item on there, im not a fan of anything ktec tbh. thinking yozza, or maybe freds when it gets released. altho am also tempted to just go to powerflow and upgrade the item thats on there at the mo. the local 1 to me is very good. they did the 1 on my williams about 9 years ago and iv never ever had a problem with it. sounds sweet too

This was my effort and knocking up some polybush ones, powerflex exh-008 cut down to fit tight in the hanger ( not tight enough to make it bow out etc ) and cable tied in place, been on about 4 months now with no signs of wear!

Decat makes it sound awesome, definitely far too quiet without! Emissions light has come on once in about 4 months, and that was on a reaaal long drive, code reader for £20 on ebay can reset it, i keep one under my seat!
