CLIO TROPHY / 182 TYRES??

I am needing two new CLIO 182 tyres.

Am I right by saying when you get a 1-2mm of tyre between the marker, its the law to change - illegal to drive it or do u get away with running it down to level?

Anyway I need two new tyres. It came with Michelin exalto 205/45 R16 83V are they the best on the market for this car? [/b]

Once you reach the level with the marker, that indicates the tread is at 1.6mm. if it goes below this limit then you may find yourself with a ticket and 3 points!!!

Best to change them just before.... especially with the weather as it is!!! don't wanna be sliding into a wall or something similar.

As to the tyre choice, there is a thread on the main trophy discussion page with peoples views. Long read but lots of info.
