Has anybody else received a letter from The Independent fieldwork co.? It starts "we are holding a market research event near you and would like you to attend. You have been invited because you own a sport vehicle and our client is particularly interested in talking about it with you." Blah blah...
It'd been 20 odd days since my last outing in the trophy due to being busy and the rubbish weather we've been having. However my power steering pump failed on my daily driver (206) so i've been "forced" to drive the trophy. I woke up excited to drive it and got to work with a grin on my face...
I am sure everyone is aware that the speakers in the Trophy are not the best.
I am looking to change my rear speakers with a set that will fit in the current mounting
Any recomendations guys???
Has anybody run a wire from the battery through the bulk head so that they can power an amp? beacuase i cant find anywhere that i think i could fit the wire through the bulk head. any help would be much appreciated.
cheers
Has anyone on here fitted a rear strut brace? If so whats the thoughts on it - e.g is it worth it and has it made any difference to the handling?
Just thinking that it may or may not be a worthwhile option on a Trophy. Probably something Renault would have fitted originally though if it did...
Saw these on Ebay and thought i'd post the link (have a look at the sellers other items too), if people still want keyrings it might be worth contacting the guy - a little piece of carbon fibre with the Trophy logo would be pretty cool....

I don't want to spoil this for anyone who hasn't got issue 99 yet, but the Renault 230 Megane Renaultsport F1 Alonso Special 2nd Win Team is shaping up very well indeed.
If I was looking for a large hatch this would be my choice, even over a Focus RS. I fucking hate the stickers though, as do...
...what would it be, and why? No budget limits, but remember that although it will be given to you, you will have to fill it up with fuel and service it and this is your only car for the rest of your life, so if you EVER need a boot or have more than two friends, the Maccer isn't the obvious...

Reading some of the posts lately by people casually dropping things about the car like being able to disable the RAID by holding the switch down, checking the oil level electronically (a gem) and pulling the seat base forward, I thought there may be some other useful nuggets that all owners may...
just decided to phone up and order the Spax lowering springs for the trophy (20mm) but they have been discontinued due to a lack of sales??? lol
Not being funny but i said to the guy that there are only a percentage of the 551 or so trophys in the world that are gonna want to lower them...
Can anyone tell me the correct suspension settings for a trophy.
F/R toe, Camber etc as I'd like to check all the settings on my car.
I suspect the 60% worn tyres are contributing to the torquesteer, but would like to check before replacing them.
Note that 7MAT seems to have increased...

I have made sure the Trophy Forum features on Wikipedia...
The link is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_Cl ... rnal_links
Hopefully this will drum up extra hits.
I am considering writing an altogether separate page for the Trophy - I'll keep you posted.
Cheers
O.
Not sure if it's going to be of intrest but i'd thought i'd mention it....

Has anyone done a standing start in a Trophy against a 172 Cup?
Last Saturday I got my arse well and truly kicked by a Cup off the mark   Is it just me being crap at standing starts or are they faster, as the published 0-60 times suggest? Please help, I'm losing sleep thinking...
As posted before i'm about to buy a Trophy and have been trying to look ahead a year or two and see what the Trophy is likely to be worth and how the introduction of the 197 Cup or Trophy might affect its values. In the end i've ended up with more questions than answers and simply havent been...
I was under the impression that there was only one 06 plate Trophy in the country and that was number 500/500 which was held back to 1st March and given away in a prize draw (Autocar mag i believe)
I have just been informed that this is not the only 06 plater around - just wondering if anyone...

I am considering buying a second hand 993 as a weekend car (or perhaps as a daily driver and turning the Trophy into a weekend car). Something with around 30-50k miles on it.
Has anyone had any experience owning a 993 (or the previous model) in the past? I'm interested even if you've driven...
