I've been told that it's reasonable to swap the front set of wheels for the back set of wheels in the interest of 'cough' preserving consistent tyre wear.
While I appreciate this is potentially a pikey way to go on tyres, it may make some sense as it means you can manage to have 4 newtyres...
Ive noticed the drivers side is lower than the passengers side!? the suspension is still solid as a rock. ive recently had the passenger side damper changed.
Does anyone on here have any idea on what could be causing this ?
all comments greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Have just spoken to Rentech in Portsmouth about my Trophys hard ride. I love the car but using it every day, sometimes its just too hard. They have said that they can remove the pins from the dampers which will make the ride softer, however they have not had any feed back from the few trophys...

Hi Guys
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, thought I would just bring your attention to a stunning new car magazine, it's not a re-release apparently but shares the title with the original publication. I bought it in the airport on my way to Rome and devoured it mostly before we touched down...
I'm getting my geometry fine tuned within next couple of weeks. I'm yet decided if I'm going to go for -2 camber or just optimise/correct the factory settings.
Does anyone know what the factory camber/toe settings should be exactly?
A few weeks ago when driving home I managed to do the impossible and spin the Trophy!!
I was on a road with little grip and was unfortunate that it was very cold, damp and signs of somekind of oil type fluid on the road. As I spun the car I hit the kerb which forced the rear wheel under the car...
All,
We need a bigger car for the kids so it's gotta go.....but with regrets as it's the best fwd I've ever had.
I'm looking for £9400
This car is 100% standard, always garaged overnight and has never been anywhere near a track. The car has full Renault service history and was...
Mazda RX-7 1.3 Twin Turbo car in immaculate condition with new engine from Japan bought off ebay with 5mth unlimited mileage warranty. Is completley standard except for a bigger intercooler that makes it more reliable and increase the power from the standard 286bhp to over 330bhp ! A racing...
Now I have my Trophy, which I chose because it would be a fast car on track without modification, I realise, that modifying cars is just too much fun to go without, so I will be modifying the Trophy :)
Just for a bit of fun, and maybe to make the fun last, and perhaps to help others...

Is it possible to do a straight swap for the FF's interior light, which (I believe) has a map light built-in to it? I'm doing a navigational rally tomorrow night and have just had to rig up a load of cardboard and masking tape to shield the light from my side of the car...
If anyone...
Hi all,
I have always upgraded brakes on my cars, as I think that it improves the car is so many ways for swift b road trips and track days and I have always been disappointed in the Trophy’s braking performance, but other people seem the be fairly pleased with them as a standard...
the only modification to my trophy so far is an ITG which was already on it im looking to go for a new exhaust ive looked into miltek but price is an issue as my funds are a bit limited at the moment just wanted some tried and tested comments or opinions on which is the most useful to go for...
I went to Bedford aurodrome the other day and-
In the wet morning the Clio was very tail happy and a whole lot of fun.
As the track started to dry the car became amazing. As the front started to slide, a very slight lift would bring the back end gently into line with no real danger...

Sold my Subaru a while ago now and decided to look for a 182, got 6k together to find one. I have seen a few around that price.
My question is should i just borrow some money and just buy a Trophy. Are Trophys a better drive than the 182.....

I must be a masochist in advertising Wanted Ads for Focus RS. The owners are only after MENTAL money for them, and I'd say I was prepared to be as bullish as I am with CT.
Just told by someone they will wait and readvertise in the Summer as cars fetch more then...??? Obviously forgotten that...
As stated in title what shall I opt for as next motor?

According to a brief article on the Whatcar website this is due to be launched soon. 205 bhp - excess weight stripped out - different suspension - undergoing SVA at present. Sounds very exciting until one reads the price; an estimated £27,000. Has anyone seen any more details?
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to better secure the interior door panels to stop them vibrating every time you turn the stereo above 1 decibel?
I had the same problem with my Mk.1 172.
Good old Renault build quality.
