Had my Trophy nearly a month now and I've a couple of quick questions about the passenger seat.
1) In the "secrets" sticky thread it says "There is a rectangular 'cubby' area under passenger front seat to store items such as wheel locking nut, first aid box etc."
Is this for real? Where is...
Yes, as I'm sure you know, I spent last Thursday - Monday in France with just me, my truly wonderful girlfriend, and the Clio. Oh, and lots of French people.
Here is my trip in pictures:
Folkestone
Lil' Clio at the Folkestone side of the Eurotunnel:
Loads of nice cars were about, as...
i've never clayed a car before and wasn't confident enough to try it for the first time on the Trophy. also i wanted the paintwork correcting - especially on the bonnet. so i decided to get it done professionally.
after looking around on the web i selected Gary Funnell from the aptly named...
washed the car last weekend, thought i'd take some pics, as i was the dog went and sat in front of the car, as to pose for the camera, so here she is. 8)
After a week of ownership I thought she deserved some tlc, 9 hours late (gold service at www.shine-detailing.co.uk) here are the results, spent 2 hours the next evening detailing the wheels and inside the arches, let me know what you think :) Cheers :)
Having being trying to sell my Trophy for a couple of weeks now I have not had a single call. I can only put it down to these reasons:
1) It is overpriced. (seems about the right price compared to others)
2) There are too many others currently for sale (only found about 3 others nationally)...
Gave them both a clean and the CF bonnet has been removed from the Liquid now... as well as removing the Apex springs and fitting some Sportlines :D
and a hint of what a white 182 might look like
Ok, this may sound a bit random or stupid. But how does everyone dry their cars after a wash and what products do they use to do it.
I have my car permagarded and want something to get her nice a dry after a rinse. I have never been a big fan of the shammy leather but maybe its cos i bought...
With the start of the summer weather appearing it was time to get the Trophy looking good again. The previous owner obviously had some kind of fascination with car washes judging by the swirlmarks in the paintwork
Having never PC'd a car myself I opted for the slightly lazyboy...
Bought a new camera last week and tried it out in Wales at the weekend. God, there are some amazing roads there, if you can go in the week - do because the traffic is much lighter (virtually non-existent). The sunset pictures were taken at the top of Cefn Bryn, my favourite road in South Wales...
After much debate over what car to get I finally decided on the golf. Picked it up last Wednesday and loving it so far. The power is awesome and the noise is special.
Trophy was a close second but the golf managed to win :)
Little sunlight to show any cleaning done but for those...
But not in a good way. :(
Twice this week I've walked out to the car after work to find it CAKED in bird sh1t, like they've been using it for target practice or something.
It's only started happening since we've all been forced to park at the (usually empty) other end of the car...
I've just booked the Trophy in for it's annual Permagard treatment at Canary Wharf (0207 473 0099) for the Saturday after next, I was told to bring it up any time in the morning and it will be 50% of the original price, which was £130, so £65 for another year's protection.
I'm then...
