Finally, after over 18 months of ownership, I have got round to doing the rear window mod.....
... by removing the nasty renault retail sticker!!
It seems that my ability to say no to things is about as bad as ever. I've been mulling over an R26 now for a while and I appear to have put a deposit down today!!
Now, although very excited by the new R26 - Black with Xenons and Decals - can always take them off with a hairdryer if I change...
mine came on saturday and I messed it up, need another one.
I wanted to put it just under the rear brake light at the top of the rear window. However, as you have to stick them on the inside, I was pretty much upside down and inside out to put it on.
It got air bubbles in it and looked...
anyone seen any of those "renault F1 champions" stickers as seen on the megane's side window and 197 R27 rear window anywhere?
with them being red i thought it might look ok on the trophy...
stealers?
I have been in touch with IXO Models who manufacture a few of the Renault Models for the dealerships to see if they would be willing to manufacture the Trophy as a limited edition model.
Normally they will only think about doing this if they produce 1000 units at a time, but I have asked...

Having been a victim of crime and 'seeing' how easy it is to break a car's windows I'm thinking about getting something like Supa Glass but I'm wondering if there's any point?
Yes it means you can hit the window with a baseball bat and it won't explode but does that put a thief off or will...
While washing the car last night part of the T of my trophy decals on the passenger side decided to come off.
I seem to remember it always had a very small crease in it at this point, so i suspect thats slowly let water in resulted in part of it becoming unstuck.
Time to find out...

I have a 2006 (06) Megane F1 with 8000m One Owner due in next few days. In the F1 Blue, will see if it has the stickers, but value IMO at £13995. That's 53 Plate Focus RS money. OK it's not an R26, but still a pretty good bit of kit for the outlay :)
Usual cars wanted in p/x with finance...
no ive not sold the trophy and bought another V6, just got a new kart. Birel RX32 chassis with IAME 100cc Formula Blue engine. Ran the engine in last weekend in the morning then flat out in the afternoon, 16000 RPM, mmmmmmm nice. Your thoughts welcome. Ian
Got to say i'm not a fan of mudflaps, think i've owned about a dozen cars - none of which have had mud flaps fitted. I know they serve a purpose but in my opinion they look pretty horrible.
Does anyone know who makes these though? (Check pic 3)

Hey all
Just after some advice, I removed the garage sticker from my back window, I hate advertising garages! Using the old hairdryer trick.
Its come off cleanly apart from about a 2 inch square bit of glue.
Whats the best way to remove this? Its also on the heated rear window.
Cheers
I know strictly this should go in Media (move it if you like guys), but I'm sure it will generate a bit of discussion, and I'd hate for people to miss it.
As mentioned over in this thread: http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/community ... IC_ID=9215 I've got some pics of one of the final Clio...
