IT'S VERY LONG I KNOW BUT PLEASE READ COULD BE VERY HELPFUL
Eventually gave up with the fault finding for the slight lack of response and power from the trophy myself so I handed it over to a Renault sport specialist who plugged it into the laptop. The first piece of software did not show up...
Hello, trophy 388 having gear box trouble. Not good !!!
Second gear will not engage at all. Has anyone had this problem before ?? Any ideas on what the problem might be??
Any input would be a big help thanks.
My trophy's recently started making a creaking noise which looks to be coming from the drivers side suspension. You can hear it when driving over any slight bumps in the road and especially over speed bump. Also today noticed what must be a slow puncture as the pressure on this tyre was down to...
Commencing on the 26/8/11 JMS Automotive Limited will cease trading.
Due to changing personal circumstances over recent weeks amongst other reasons, James and I have made the decision to shut the business and pursue other interests.
We are pleased too be able to introduce Michael and Jack...
Unfortunately, the time has come where I can't put this off any longer, it is with great regret that I am offering my Trophy up for sale.
I need a 5 door car, as running my 16 month old daughter around in the back is just not practical, and with a long term back injury, I find it painful...
I need a little help from someone in the know ,my Trophy's devolped a faut code on the little dash display. looks like a p (ish) Something like 'P---.
What is this, a nomal mechanics obd reader doesn't pick up any fault, but the renault display says otherwise?? Can anybody help me? :?
Hi, I have owned a Cup packed 182 for over 4 years now, determined to keep it as long as possible.
Always kind of wished for the Trophy set up so I have just invested in a full set of Trophy dampers.
I was wondering what you guys could recommend to get the set up correct. Lots of advice already...
I have a mate, who has an Alpine that needs a new water pump. He can only travel short distances before it overheats.
So does anyone know of a good renault specialist, that would be good to work on this car?
Reluctantly, I'm having to sell my 182 Trophy to cater for two little ones and the baggage train that goes with them!
Few basics:
Just over 58k miles, the car is off the road so this won't change.

Hi,
Have been deciding on weather or not to re fit my standard exhaust. Only thing is; it was cut in half to remove it, the renault specialist assured me that there is a collar or sleeve that you can buy to seamlessly go over the join on re-fit??
any ideas where I would find one?
I've been trauling through suspension threads for the last hour and can't find an answer.
Where does everyone buy them from?
And,
What is 'revalving'? Is it just matching the damping settings to OE spec or is it something specialist that the likes of MF would do?
Thanks
Had the speedlines sorted out so it was time to get them on the car and take the 182 wheels off.
Had them done at "The Wheel Specialist" in edinburgh and i must say the price was cheap and the job is spot on with almost an excact match.
Swapped my rears to the front as treads heading towards 3mm. That way I can replace them ASAP and put the new ones back on the back for winter.
Wondering if this was wise as car feels very odd! Had balancing done on them but since then car still seems to wander more. Wondering if the tyres...
well i say at it again, even though this is my first experience of some rather questionable service standards.
I took my T to a local Renualt dealer for pure convenience on my part i must add, just to finish off the last parts of a service.
on returning to pick up the T and with paperwork and...
My first post & a sad one. I've had my Trophy (#61) for a v enjoyable year & took it for its first track day with me the Saturday before last at Lydden Hill, having just had the expensive full cam/aux belt done. Unfortunately it seems to have blown a valve & my local Renault dealer that I...
Hi folks,
I know there have been several threads on this topic and I have also looked on cliosport. I had been thinking I would get new ball joints without the wishbone and fit them to my trophy and at the same time fit uprated poly bushes to the wishbone. After reading on cliosport the...
Sadly the time has come to part company with my much loved Renaultsport Clio Trophy.
It is build number 226 of the 500 that were released in the UK and has just over 54,000 miles on the clock. This will creep up as the car is in daily use
It has a full service history and benefits from a very...
Hi,
I test drove a Megane 250 Cup and Clio Sport 200 back to back today and I can't decide which is better.
The car will mainly be a daily driver with occasional trackday use.
The handling of both is great but the Megane might be a better car to live with day to day (if only it looked better)...
Ok today I bought 10£ of petrol, then on the way home all my warning lights flashed on this resulted on my petrol light staying on and no petrol being read by my trip computer !! This has happened a few times now, sometimes my engine actually cuts out when the warning lights come on ??
This is...
My Trophy no.288 went in for its major service yesterday i will get it back tomorrow :) payed a bit extra to get the rocker cover taken off and re-sealed as there was a slight oil leak were obviously there was a gap in the sealant. bit weird why Renault doesn't use a gasket but ohh well its...
Hi,
