Hi there, first post on here and hope you can help. Ive got a 2003 Clio Sport and have owned it for 10 months now.
Its a stab in the dark really as im not sure how best to describe this, but when I turn the car left it feels like the back end flips out and the car seems to be really unstable...
Hi guys.
Having a nightmare with the car lately. When im travelling 60+ MPH the car feels like its not planted and changing lanes on the M-way or dualcarrage way is becoming very scary. When traveling at speed and steering lightly (ie changing lanes) everything feels loose and the car seems to...
Advice Please!!
Just had my car MOT'd today and the guy at the garage mentioned that he felt the front end a bit bouncy on the roads he took the car for a quick drive on. I said that I had noticed this recently too and asked him if he thought that there was a fault with the dampers, to which he...
Dudes, I am fuming.
My Trophy went in for its third (i.e. north of £500) service a month ago at AKS Renault in Yeovil.
Today it went for its first MOT at my trusted independent garage, local to work, who service my van fleet.
It failed, as the rear pads are worn down to almost nothing, and...

Well some of you may remember me? Im little Newms from Cliosport. I use to own a 172 Cup but decided to sell. I bought a few cars after that with the best one being a citroen saxo vts (loved it! Gutted when that went!) I saved a few pennys and bought a house with my Mrs and here i am today! All...
Does anyone know whether 182 Cup dampers will fit a Trophy? Reason I ask is that my nearside front damper has a loose remote reservoir and has leaked oil and is therefore shot. My car has done only 31000 miles. I've only a few days left of my warranty (end of Aug, great timing!!) and will try...
Hi guys, I'm new to the forum :D

Hello all,
I am posting on here due to a serious problem I am having at the moment with Renault regarding the suspension on my Trophy. The front right damper has cracked causing it to leak and it therefore needs replacing. Unfortunately, both my dealership and Renault Customer Services have...
I have a major problem :( Not really sure what to do. Driving home form work on Saturday, the emissions warngin light came on and the car sounded oncredibly unhealthy. (i thought it sounded like a steam train...)
Got towed home by the rac, and they have said it has blown a spark plug. The guy...
driving my car this evening it felt a bit odd - like the front right suspension was muchsofter than the left. When I got out of the car and checked, sure enough it is much easier to push down one side of the car when you stand at the front and lean on the headlight. I can wobble the offside...
so the 1st of the trophys will soon be comming out of warranty...i was thinking of extending the warranty in May but wondering if it will be worth it...i'm thinking mainly about the shocks but i'm sure the dealers will wriggle out of any issues with them quoting the universal dealer "wear &...
The weekend started with a visit to Mark Fish to have the solid top mounts fitted that I had ordered last year but had only just got round to getting fitted.
Mr Fish (for those who have never met him).
The top mount.
Sachs dampers removed.
Holes drilled.
Top mount...
im thinking of spending some money on the trophy and was wondering if a de cat and induction kit would be beneficial, ive already got a janspeed exhaust system and wanted a little more response and sound. has anyone got these mods and are you happy with them? many thanks :D
OK, have been lurking for a while and am ready to buy a car, I have 8k to spend ready in the bank so really I expect I am looking at a 182 with Cup Pack(s) but I thought I would try on here to see what a Trophy goes for nowdays.
I am not after a flaming for insulting the value of the Trophy...
Not spotted by me but my mate called me up at lunch to tell me he is on a track day and there is a Trophy showing some tuned mini's who is boss.
He was in a 350Z.
From looking on the renault french site i came accross this...

it apperars that all the std items on a trophy are an option on a french 182??
fully intend to run the trophy for another few years so at the moment i'm wondering if i should go for the extended warranty next year when the 3 years are up ?
mainly due to the costs of the shocks should one fail...will the extended warranty cover this...i asked at the renault garage they...
I am starting to accumulate parts again so might sell this as a batch. Using a Clio Cup as a basis would make a nice and fast bit of kit.
Trophy Front Struts. (Bought by Lee G last year and still in bubblewrap)
New boxed Recaro Trendlines, subframes and airbag resistors.
4 x Anthracite...
Hi all,
Its a long shot but I thought I would post anyway.
we are looking for a trackday project and have settled on a Clio Trophy,
we have an UK S2000 which we have for sale on Pistonheads, It has 36,000 miles and is in outstanding condition. We do have someone interested so it may be...

i got a reply saying that the drivers side were bent but the other side...
i have just had the pin that stops you adjusting the Sach damper removed and i must say that it makes a difference from the standard renault setting as you can go quite a bit harder than the standard setting so this should make a difference when i am on my next track day
Hey,
Am off to Devon on Friday for a weeks rest woooo!! Got the tomato kitted out with some nice new exaltos today, took 50 mins at Elite in dagenham - freakin' ages but all the same it looked like they had done a good job, wheels nice and clean too! :D

I have been thinking about chucking the trophy in for something more fun, getting a bit bored. Im mainly looking at the bargain monaro vxr's that have just come on the market maybe even a 500 version but im a bit worried i may wish i hadnt bothered. Want something with a bit more grunt and a...
