Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd come on and say Hi while I'm looking at 182's and Trophys as my next car.
I'm a regular on the RenaultSport forum so i'm sure some of you will know me from there.

Hi guys im in need of some advice, my trophy suspension is causing me some concern, on the o/s front of the car the suspension seems to be have a lot more play then the n/s , i've had a look and can't see any fluid but does this sound like the shock could be shot? the car has only done 23,000 so...
Ive put together some theory questions, see how well you do... :)
Ill be honest, when I was reading through the book there was one or two of the following questions I didnt know.
(1) A pelican crossing that crosses the road in a STRAIGHT line and has a central island MUST be treated as…...
Hey,
Just wondered if its possible to have climate control fitted in the Trophy, say a unit from a 172, easy done or not worth the hassle? Also the rain sensor on the wind shield along with the relevant wiper stalk?
Cheers!
I'm somewhat concerned by the cost of maintenance for the Trophy, but the question is how often does it need work doing? Do you folks find them to be reliable enough to not worry for a while or is there often an niggling worry that something could go wrong at any minute?
Given that I won't have...
05 plate driving through Congleton at around 3.00pm Sunday.
I was in the White Lion - spotted you going past the town hall.
Don't think I've seen this one before.
If you buy this mag, you'll soon read that Harry's T has had re-furbed front shocks. Seems the front as "corkscrewing". One had lost it's gas the other had a slight oil leak. His cars only done 16000 miles. Am guessing a lot of those were hard miles?!
Hi everybody.

Bye bye.
Just testing the water but mrs Tonto has decided she wants to get rid of the Trophy :( .
But she has said she would take a Megane as the replacement :(
So if anyones potentially looking to swap a nice R26 perferably black or white with Recaros in the next few months then pop me a PM...
Shock absorber wear is usually very gradual and occurs without the driver's knowledge. Worn shock absorbers cause damage to other components such as tyres, the steering system, track rods or wheel bearings - not changing the shock absorbers can lead to additional expenditure on other components...
=D> ....i think people are finally starting to realise trophy's are amazing cars and people can't keep selling them for peanuts!!...mine was £9k last september there is no way on earth i would let it go for under £7k especially as it took me over 8 months to source such a minter (093)
I am looking to buy a Trophy and wonder does anyone have knowledge of car No. 232/500?
I went to see this car yesterday at a local used car dealer and have a few concerns. The dealer is fitting new rear discs and shockers due to wear and tear (fairly common at this milage I understand) however...

I bought a used Trophy recently that had been fitted with KW V2 coilovers for track use.
I'm thinking of switching back to the OE sachs dampers.
The sachs were taken off at around 40k miles - should I get them serviced before I re-fit them?
Is there any way to tell if they need doing while...
:( Hello again. Hope you`re all well.
I`m not...422 is cornering very badly now and not being a mechanic i thought i`d see what your thoughts on this problem are. (visit to garage planned for the end of the week)
The problem is,the car cuts into corners much sharper than it used to do and...
Hi All,
Well today I decided to check the rear disc pads, which I did, but ended up cleaning the inside wheels, arches and shocks. (sad muppet) :)
Decided to do the fronts and noticed the adjustable shocks still had the locking pins in !!!!
Well they don't now, couldn't help myself from...
Morning all!
Picked up my Trophy beginning of Feb, and ive just started noticing oil spots on my drive ( my mother wasnt impressed ) im no mechanic but it looks like its from the rear suspension on the passenger side, its dripping from the bottom, not sure if theres a seal broken somewhere or...
I probably won’t have much luck selling on here, but it’s for a worthy cause. The time has come for me to sell my beloved valver  a very reluctant sale but it is to help pay for my dream car, which just happens to be a trophy 8) so it's time to move on
It's a mint, Naples red, phase 2...

i noticed a guy on RS with a 197 posting details of a battery change he had done...
hes fitted a "red top" racing battery in his 197 an looks like hes saved a load of weight in doing so...
so it got me wondering...i havent heard of this being done before and wondered what if any the negative...
Fed up of my broken trophy suspension, i'll need to get some temporary suspension to use while the sachs are up being refurbed at the front, and i'll have to shell out £200-300 for some koni or sachs rear dampers.
Then i think, why not just chuck some bilstein or H&R coilovers on...
