I thought I would get this in to save face for my mate. Some of you keen eyed members might see the recaros on ebay, with trophy number 495 on them, sadly this happened in february, foggy night, unmarked t junction, 30mph slide into a stupidly deep ditch, we didn't think they were going to write...
How or what do you guys use to clean the alacantra centres of the trendlines? I have some in my Cup, but could do with wipe down with something. But what :?:
cheers :)
It's a bummer that this site has been well and truly spammed this evening. My own formmail has been hijacked before now, with no cure, and for months received spam enquiries that completely ruined the system (I'm being pollite it actually begins with an f) I might make a suggestion to never...
After much debate over what car to get I finally decided on the golf. Picked it up last Wednesday and loving it so far. The power is awesome and the noise is special.
Trophy was a close second but the golf managed to win :)
Little sunlight to show any cleaning done but for those...
No 425 (or is it 475? Where's the Trophy register link gone? It's too cold to go outside and check) has done 20k miles and at some point has acquired 2 'dings' due to ignorant, thoughtless, slack-jawed (and probably jealous) eejits opening car doors against it (one on front wing, one on rear...
Hi guys, first sorry form my bad English, than I'll post you some fotos of my new clio Trophy, N° 38/50, Swiss edition.
I own this car since a few days, and I am very happy.
so give a look at http://www.cliotrophy.ch , site I have bought quickly for my trophy.
I looked for them all...
Its time for some new brake pads. I was going to get some Feroda DS2500's but I'm struggling to find these. Has anyone any experience or opinions on the Mintex Extreme range? I can get these from our local motor factor.I don't intend using the car on track days, I just want some good all round...
I had my 2nd coat of Permagard applied last week. I also treated the car to everything else on the Permagard list for good measure: full interior clean and protection, glass treatment and last but not least, engine treatment.
Keep in mind my car now has 25,000 (motorway) miles on it...
250 people contacted the show to report bonnet catch failures
saw the show my self and Reno are saying all the cars they have inspected have not had their bonnets secured properly. what do you think?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/consumer/tv_and_ra ... 0123.shtml
bonnets have been...
Odd one this but wondered if anyone has had similar? (I nicked my post of Evo forum for lunch break time save)
Over the Christmas period Mario Kart was running fine and dandy, but I started to notice that a little bit of the steering feedback was gone when pushing on in the bendy bits. At...
I wasn't planning to do this detail so early on in the year but a friend needed some photos for his new business and I acquired a new camera for Christmas so thought this weekend was a good opportunity as any. The weather forecast looked workable despite a shower on Saturday afternoon that...
Decided to try and give my wheels a thorough(ish) clean today. They have brake dust in the corners where the spokes join the rim and the odd stain from what I can only assume is wet brake dust coming from inside the wheel. Anyway, the car was permaguarded before I bought it - do they do the...
Just had my tyres changed and when i was driving back i heard what sounded like a big stone or something hitting the underside of the car. Got home and had a look at the alloys and i think the weights have fallen off. (saying that because i didnt watch them the whole time so dont know f they...
Is it just my PC World pile of parts or does the ClioTrophy forum have the same effect on your computer? i.e that the Hard Disc Drive whirrs soon after logging in, and then winds down on logging out? How am I supposed to listen to quiet passages of Sibelius Violin Concerto while I am working haha.
We have discussed before about what fuels work best with the Trophy and I mentioned in another thread that I was going to do my own mini survey! So here it is - in all its succinct glory!
I've always sworn by Optimax (superceded by V-Power as we know) so have used that primarilly with...
My mate killed himself wednesday nite and his funerals next friday. now i go to my new manager and ask her if i can go to it for an hour and come back. what does she say NO!. f**king jumped up tramp bag lady!! i hope SHE dies a long painful death 2nite!!! f**king fat smelly b**ch that looks like...
When I was cleaning #488 the other day I noticed some sort of damage on the rear, offside damper but the rear nearside is fine.
The damp section is just water....I hope!

Can anyone shed some light on this? I did think that possibly with...
I know there is one on cliosport, but how about having our own? Finding the best polishes and waxes, sharing tips on how best to clean the little red bullets?
Just a thought!
Got a new camera on saturday and went out to test it on the trophy.
On sunday i went to a better location than my drive to take some more photos which i shall post up later when i'm home. Hope these don't come out to large! If they do then please just save them locally and preview them in...
I've just booked the Trophy in for it's annual Permagard treatment at Canary Wharf (0207 473 0099) for the Saturday after next, I was told to bring it up any time in the morning and it will be 50% of the original price, which was £130, so £65 for another year's protection.
I'm then...
Bah, Humbug! First day I get to drive the Trophy in a week, girlfriend at a Christening, Sunday morning and it's a fooking monsoon out there! Instead I'm stuck indoors on the blinking internet. I'm emmigrating and taking XOG with me.
I'm too lazy to search through the archives - is there a quick answer to the right brake pacakge for the front of the Trophy?, I will probably only do 2 or 3 trackdays a year.
Thanks!
