Now I have my Trophy, which I chose because it would be a fast car on track without modification, I realise, that modifying cars is just too much fun to go without, so I will be modifying the Trophy :)
Just for a bit of fun, and maybe to make the fun last, and perhaps to help others...
Quite keen to try a Whiteline rear ARB on the Trophy, mostly read good reports. Any thoughts from anyone?
Also note there is the start of a group buy over on the cliochav forum, sorry I mean cliosport.

Just bought Trophy No 237 from Allvehicles.
Pick it up on Tuesday.
Traded in my Elise 111r and have to say i can't wait to get my mitts on the Trophy!
Car was absolutely immaculate and Steve was really helpful and easy to get on with.
No doubt i'll be on here a bit from now on!
Karl.
im thinking of spending some money on the trophy and was wondering if a de cat and induction kit would be beneficial, ive already got a janspeed exhaust system and wanted a little more response and sound. has anyone got these mods and are you happy with them? many thanks :D
Not spotted by me but my mate called me up at lunch to tell me he is on a track day and there is a Trophy showing some tuned mini's who is boss.
He was in a 350Z.
From looking on the renault french site i came accross this...
http://accessoires.renault-sport.com/RSinput.php?lng=fr&cat=6500000000
it apperars that all the std items on a trophy are an option on a french 182??
I'm selling my excellent Technics SL-DZ1200 unit to help free up some cash as I don't use it that much these days.
I first bought this late August 2006 so is under a year old and is still under manufacturers warranty. It is in excellent condition and has very few surface marks. It has been...
Having tried everything I can to find a way of keeping the Trophy, it's becoming clear that finances simply will not allow it. The new R26 is on it's way and should be here at the end of the month and therefore my pride and joy has got to find a new home.
I am the second owner of the car, it...
Went to see Yozza this morning for some new brakes......not really tested them yet but they did a good job. 8)
So when I got home I thought i'd make my dampers adjustable. Tried to remove the grub screw from the drivers side and it would not budge. Even after plenty of easing fluid and a...
any make any sence of this - possibly directed toward Donkey or George....
"asked my customer for a view on the bits. turns out his car is a cup... so you do need arb and toes adjusters IMO (and his I'm sure from what he said on the phone so far)

I have had rapid Clio's since passing my test, :D but since getting married and having 2 children i had to try and purchase cars which fitted the "Family Man" criteria.
But since Renault released the Megane 225 i saw this as my chance to get back in the groove. :D I currently own a Ph2...

Whilst fitting my new Yozza Brembo / Ds2500 pack this afterrnoon, i thought it would be the perfect time to whip out my damper pins.
Quickly got the passenger side done, undid the grubscrew, levered the cap off, knocked the pin upwards and refitted the cap, hey presto!!
However, when i...

Sponsored by Honda (hence the new CTR making the cut!) but great all the same, my first two cars are in it and in the right colours. Two other cars I'd love to own too, DC2 and Integrale.
Bits to laugh at;
Flawed dynamics of the 205...
Evo descrivbe the Trophy as 'the most fun you can have on 3 wheels' but my question is how do you get it on 3 wheels?
Is it something that you should be able to do everyday or do you have to really push the car so much that you're very unlikely to achieve it safely on the road?
Can you...

i have just had the pin that stops you adjusting the Sach damper removed and i must say that it makes a difference from the standard renault setting as you can go quite a bit harder than the standard setting so this should make a difference when i am on my next track day
out of interest, how does the trophy suspension compare with a clio 182 on aftermarket coilovers say H&R's.
which is likely to perform better.
If nobody knows then I will let you know what the answer is because me and some friends are doing a trackday...obviously my trophy, a 172 cup on...
Firstly I'd like to point out I've had permission from the moderators for this post as it could be viewed as an 'advert'
Some background: at some stage, and 'when' will depend on many factors, the dampers will need replacing/rebuilding. The replace cost is prohibative and there's...
I know strictly this should go in Media (move it if you like guys), but I'm sure it will generate a bit of discussion, and I'd hate for people to miss it.
As mentioned over in this thread: http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/community ... IC_ID=9215 I've got some pics of one of the final Clio...
Going to get my car 4 wheel aligned next week, after i have fitted a new set of exaltos.
This is to try and eradicate the twitchy, 'searching' feeling i'm getting under hard acceleration and braking.
Can anyone help me with the following:
1, What is exactly adjustable on the trophy? Front /...
