Hello!
A friendly chap spotted me near traffic lights in Hornchurch town centre and plucked up conversation around 11:30 today… he said he owns a Trophy (300 and something?!… maybe 354 or 364..?!) and it’s in for some works at the mo.
Nice to meet a surprise local owner!
That's a kind offer Claude - thank you. I'm visiting a friend in Farnborough at the weekend, could possibly pop by, although I'm conscious that I can't be hanging onto borrowed dampers for too long!
Hi all,
After a rather quiet couple of years on here, the wonderful, but tricky Sachs dampers on my car lead me back to the forum!
Yes, it's time for a refurb and so I wanted to quickly check whether anyone has a set of cup shocks that they fancy parting up with, so that I can remove my...
Currently sitting in my local tyre fitter... They don't have ps3's in stock right now and so I'm looking online (whilst they fit a hancook on my spare wheel, which was nearly bald, but better than the tyres it's replacing which had a screw in it :rage:).
Anyway, to the point... I've been...
I took a look at these online yesterday - they look well made, to a mere non-engineering mortal like me!
Be interested to hear what cabin noise is like with this system (anyone know whether this would be significantly changed by adding a cat?).
Does anyone already run this system with the cat...
Hi Mark...
I have only ever bought my tyres from them/had tyres repaired by them. Although they don't offer the cheapest prices, they have always been great for service and I would recommend them to anyone. I always check the rims after they've finished and they never have any blemishes on them...
Cheers for all the comments guys.. Even Jules the blouse! Driving the car around for short journeys over the past few days reminded me how mucH I love the sound of the orb- the high end rasp is so worth the slightly boomy mid range.
I was speaking to Katie about it and although we both agree...
So, with the Trophy now being the only car in our household, thus enjoying the odd long journey, I’m somewhat struggling with the drone from the Orbisoud exhaust at motorway speeds… It was never previously an issue because the car was only used at weekends, but during a recent trip to Oxford...
So, an update....
*bows head in shame*
Because I didn't want to be left with the alarm going off, unable to stop it and upsetting all my neighbours in the surrounding flats, I called the RAC, rather than opening the passenger door with key. Turned out to be a loose battery connection- ooooh...
Thanks, I'll give this a try. I also found a list of instructions on CS, pertaining to re sync the keys, which may or may not help my cause..
1. Turn Ignition OFF.
2. Press the central door locking button for more than 5 seconds. Note :
the doors should lock then unlock.
3. When this happens...
Good evening all
Well, after a considerable time away from the site, I'm back online.. Hope all the old faces are well :D and the new faces are enjoying their tomatoes!
Why is it that the day I get back on here after not having used the site since it was overhauled, my car decides to go on...
If my OH and I had to go down to sharing one car, this would be in the runnings due to exclusivity and performance for me and simply being a Mini for her (she has just sold hers so that I can keep the T for now..)..
Keep us posted on your thoughts once you get used to it :)
Ha - J, I wouldn't expect anything else from you - I'd be the same ;)
Couldn't believe how quickly it sold. Must be a testament to the hours we ploughed into keeping it looking superb.. For the record, I tried werkstat jeffs. Not convinced I'm using it properly as beading wasn't that...
J - the wheels totally eclipse the T's.. You'd be surprised how hard the ride is too. My OH is totally disappointed by the ride quality of the fiesta that's replaced the mini - she said it feels like a blamange(sp?) in comparison..!!! Thankfully it's on a ford employee scheme, so we'll be...
Hi Guys
I'll update this thread in due course, but just a quick link to our Mini Cooper - gutted to be selling it, but at least the T's staying for now
