Hi guys!

Silly question! my 182, is it a cup? what makes it a 182 cup and not just a 182? and how can i tell what mine is?

Also if it is a 182, can it be made into a cup? In fact! what is a cup??!?!!!! :?

Tsk, tsk Riggs you really should have done your homework before buying ;)

Easiest way to tell if yours is a Cup is to look at the interior - if its cloth then its a Cup. If its Alcantara and leather then its a 182 'Full Fat' - however these can have one or both of the Cup packs fitted.

The Cup spoiler pack consists of a larger rear spoiler and a front splitter. The Cup suspension pack has slightly uprated suspension settings (you couldnt spot this to look at) and anthracite alloys instead of silver ones (nice and easy to spot).

Fingers crossed you come back and tell us yours is a Cup packed car at least. At approx £450 (when built) for both Cup packs it was a bit of a no brainer in my opinion not to go for them as the suspension package definitely makes a difference to the handling.

You have a "cup" packed 182.

Not to be confused with a "182 Cup"

God damn renault!

As Day says, there was actually a 182 Cup, which is not what you have. Renault made about 539 of these, 371 in Racing Blue (with optional Gordini stripes that 208 people opted for) and the rest in Inferno Orange. They all had Anthracite wheels.

See here;

You have a Cup packed 182, which is a normal 182 with, what most people opted for, the Spoiler and/or Suspension packs. They were also available with Sat Nav and Recaro seats as options. The figures for how many 182's had these Cup packs are here;

This is my favourite bit though, ooh, look at all those options available;

the 182 cup was slightly lighter than the 182 with cup packs. I think they don't have xenons from memory but i may be thinking of the 172 and 172 cup....
