Possible Newbie

Hi folks , im going to check out a Trophy in Durham tonight ( no 97 ) with 35k on the clock
What to look for at this mileage and anyone know the car.! It has 5 months renault warranty left -
is this worth much as the car is pricey at £8,300 i think. thanks

35k for £8,300 is a little high
i'd expect one with less than 25k for that price.

Just back from test drive , nice clean car with no bad or annoying noises.
Only had 2 services at 15 & 30k .Hope Renault use good oil. Price is negotiable !
Might have to take a trip to Alton Towers to get a comparison !

Renault use Elf Excellium 5w 40, which is excellent. Welcome along and good luck with the purchase!

Only 2 services at 35k [-X even going by the mft's recommendations it should be due it's 3rd soon - one every 12k. Mines had 6 and it's only on 25k!

As Cue says, the Clio Trophy have service intervals of 12000miles or every 2 years, which ever is soonest. It will need the Auxilary belt changed at the 36000 mile service and will cost in the region of £350-£450 depending on where you get it done.

Jonc you are totally correct that is what Renault recommend but really two years is too long an interval in my opinion.
