Had the trophy for about 3 mionths now and there has always been i very little knock noise when driving but it just sounded like a noise a car makes, anyway over the last week this noise got really bad so took it to the stealers to get it checked under warranty.
Turns out both ball joints have gone and they recon both suspension arms need replacing. Which the warranty does not cover!!!
£400 to get this done.
I asked how much the parts were and was told £120.
£280 labour for a job i could do myself, RENAULT STEALERS TRY TO STRIKE AGAIN!!

I think my car probably has the highest mileage on here, 54000, so be warned this could b a issue 4 yous in the future.

I thought this was a fairly common/well known fault with Clio's!

Just spoke 2 a mate and he is going 2 price the parts and sort it for me, he recons the suspension arm may not need replacing, just he ball joints, he is going 2 look later 2 see.

You would think renault would help more 2 keep the Trophys in mint condition.

Should be able to replace the bottom ball joints without changing the full wishbone.

It's easier to change the bottom arm and ball joint as one, but obviously a lot more expensive. They're just being lazy and trying to make a quick buck

My mate done the arms 2 day. Got to say like they were totally shot. With the new ones on the steering now feels very direct, also the handling feels better.
:D
