Oil seepage - see pics

Anyone else have an engine bay that looks like this?

I've been told it's just a bit of weepage as renault are cheapskates when sealing the cam cover.

My car isn't using any extra oil, in fact in the time i've had the car i've never needed to top it up

90% of all 172's/182's do it, very common and it is covered under warranty, not dangerous though

Most definitely just a bit of leakage through the head gasket, nothing to worry about, just get Renault to sort a new one then spray some Auto Glym engine cleaner on the block, then just wipe it off, like magic. (Mine doesn't do it by the way, clean as a whistle, I used to own a Peugeot - that's how I know.)

its not headgasket!

its rocker cover gasket (silicone)

It's the cheap metals used.

Should never of changed from the almighty Mk1 172 ;)
