I need to get hold of a new tyre, has anyone bought any?
If so how much are people paying for them and where from? I can get one from quickfit for £108 plus fitting and balancing.

Also, has anyone had to replace a speedline corsa? or get one resprayed, if so can you get hold of the stickers?

Any help would be appreciated.

£80.70 each delivered to your door. Then it'll cost you usually about £10 per tyre to be fitted at your local tyre fitters.

They were £76 each a couple of weeks ago, price tends to go up and down a bit. I've got 2 ready to be fitted.

Book price should be around £89 for the Exalto 2's. should be about £110 incl fitting. (mind you, that is with small firm HOOK Tyres)

Don't know about the Speedline's.

I would be very wary of going to KwikFit their tools aren't exactly alloy friendly!

Have a look on the Pirelli site for one of their Performance Centers. They are fully geared up for doing performance cars, wheels and tyres. Torque wrenches for doing the nuts up, rubber coated tools to prevent damage to the wheels, low profile trolley jacks etc...

When, in an emergency, we tried a Kwik Fit for a new front tyre on my father's 911 they didn't even have a jack that would fit under the car properly!!!! Thankfully they didn't have any of the right size/fitment of tyre!

Thanks for the heads up chiefsilverback. The wheel that needs the tyre has been damaged by the idiots who fitted the tyre thats on it now, seems to have had some kind of Lubricant put on it that has changed the colour of the paint.

Try your local Protyre, they usually have the biggest range in stock and are the daddies for fitting, I think they are on www.protyre.co.uk, I used to work for an alloy wheel specialist and we always went there for the performance stuff and unusual sizes

I heard that costco sell and fit these as very reasonable prices. Possibly the cheapest you'll find.

Ya, from what I remember seeing Costco is the cheapest, but I don't know if all their stores carry the Exaltos, the one in Watford, Herts does though if anyone is in the neighbourhood.

I got a tyre from them and they were terrible for me.

ordered the wrong tyre, and when i insisted that it be fitted to my car, took all day to come to me.

what was supposed to be fitted at 9am was fitted at 7pm

That's because mytyre.co.uk supply tyres, not fit them. They have an affiliate scheme in order to help you find a fitter, but this is not what they do.

I had my tyres (which I ordered off mytyres.co.uk) fitted during my service at Renault (free). It was my fourth positive experience with the company.

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers
