Won't be the first car to have it done to. Mate went an looked at a 182 that had more non-sport parts on it than sports parts. Alloys, seats, bumper, spoiler all replaced with non-sport equivalent.

I went to view this trophy today, do the sach dampers come with yellow springs? It was sitting really low, the sach's weren't springing back up when pressed down on the arches and the reservouirs(sp) looked like they had no oil left in them. The car has no service history and two previous female owners, No record of cambelt change or any service what so ever.

The garage seller wont budge on the price at all and im about to send them an e-mail explaining all the problems bodywork wise.
For the price it's being sold for id expect service history and a well kept Trophy with original wheels and a good coat of paint left on all the panels.

Nice car to drive non the less and i'll be looking out for better examples without any doubt.

What reservioirs looked like they were empty? Something to do with the suspension?
Think the springs are yellow standard.

The remote reservioirs on the Sach dampers, they were covered in oil and the car was sitting extremely low to the floor.

I wont get into the amount of bodywork problems on the vehicle, but it'd cost about £600/700 for the little niggles to be ironed out.

Sprins are yellow on the front and black on the rear, or so I was told.

leaking dampers shouldnt make the car sit any lower and little movement when pressed is a good thing - when they go they become bouncy, to be fair the oil on the dampers could be anything thats been sprayed on in that area, unless it was fresh and obviously leaking from the damper (i havent seen them)
Not the only trader at the moment that like theyre stuck with a trophy they thought they could make a quick buck from - that one spotted in the Sunderland Renault garage that was subsequently bought by a local "specialist" still hasn't moved from his pitch and the price is being dropped every week - looks like private sales are the only way to go these days.
