The time has come for me to part company with my Trophy, No 084. It has been great fun owning it and it's certainly an absorbing car to drive. However a shiny black 350z has seduced me into the world of rwd. :D

Here are the details:

2005/05

29500 miles

Full service history

Just had Full service + MOT *including aux belt AND cam belt* Work carried out by local Renault specialists 'Ren7oaks'.
(Ren7oaks ran a full diagnostic program on the engine and a couple of parameters were found to be slightly out of line causing some roughness at idle. These were addressed along with an ECU reset and the car has been running really well since.)

Recent front shock absorber re-build with blue fully adjustable damper setting knobs. Work carried out by BG Motorsport at Silverstone.

Recently fully laser aligned suspension geometry to factory spec.

Taxed until Jan 2010

I am the third registered owner although technically only the second as the previous owner transferred the car to his brother to avoid losing the car through a marriage break-up.

2 Keys + fobs with a folder of documents and receipts etc

Brand new front discs + front and rear pads

Brand new exhaust mounts front to rear along with a new cat sealing kit and new clamps.

4 good Michelin Exaltos

The car is in un-marked condition apart from a few honest stone chips on the front of the car and some small scratches to the extreme edges of a couple of wheels - hardy noticable really.

Additional items:

Powerflex dogbone-mount bushes. This modification is in my opinion the best pound for pound improvement you can make to the car and the difference is really apparent. Vastly improved gearshift quality and driveability with no loss of comfort or ride quality.

Goodrich Braided brake hoses all round flushed through with fresh Dot-4 brake fluid.

Brand new Intermittent wiper control stalk

Ipod 'Aux-in" cable for standard stereo headunit

Matching capsicum red dashboard inserts. Professionally sprayed, genuine 'Renault sport' and 'Trophy' decals with a layer of clear laquer to finish. If this is not to your taste i will supply a set of original silver dash strips.

Due to the low mileage, cambelt, front shock rebuild and condition im putting the car up for £8100

Based in West Kent

Please pm me for more details

Good luck with the sale tractor-boy, looks a good-un.

I've driven a 350z although not very well. Lasting memories - they sound gorgeous although will bite your arse if you're not careful in the wet. You probably couldn't get much different to the T but that's no bad thing.

Hey, possibly post jumping here but can i just ask why do a lot of the shocks on 'trophy's and therefore need reconditioning??

Cant believe this is still up for sale. At that price and with those mods (with cambelt and dampers done too!).

good luck with the sale tractor!

One guy offered me £6500 this week

Now that would have irritated me, a lot. I also thought this was an almost guaranteed slightly less than £8k sale.

I don't think the reg is the issue, just a timing thing I guess.

I have seen several trophies with lower mileage (13k - 24k) go from between £6400 - £7300, however if you hold out I reckon you'll get what you want for it.

This post really Pi55ed me off !
firstly i dont see how your comments can possibly contribute anything to a post from a guy selling his car.
And secondly i would argue that your comments are completley out of date, some Trophys may have dipped to this level at the height of the recession but not anymore and especially not low mileage examples.

On a more positive note just last week i viewed a 40k trophy at a main dealer, and it was "dog" rough - blown dampers, badly re-painted bonnet, loose trim, plaque missing, scratched & scuffed rear bumper and was up for £7500

Tractor - dont let guys like this get you down, it's just a slow time of year to sell a car thats all, most people's thoughts are on Xmas and the like
