For Sale Renault Clio 182 Trophy number 151/500. First registered September 2005 on a ”55” plate.

It is with much regret that I offer for sale this beautiful Clio Trophy which my wife has owned since 2006 and is the second owner.

The car has done less than 27000 miles (as it is our 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] car) and is probably one of the lowest mileage examples around. It is also completely unmodified. Full Renault service history and it has never missed a beat.

The car failed its Mot last week on the front left shock absorber (no other fail items). It still has its current MoT until October 7[SUP]th[/SUP] but to get a pass the front left shock absorber will need to be rebuilt (as have many of the Sachs shockers on other cars) or replaced. Alternatively both front shock absorbers could be replaced with the Clio Cup shockers as a cheaper alternative.

In all honesty, I don’t have the time to get this done so this has forced my decision to sell the car if I can get a sensible price for it. If not, I'll get the work done and keep it for a few more years.

The car is in very good condition, the only other cosmetic issues being some kerbing on the alloys (that was my wife not me!), a small split in the steering wheel (common defect) and a chunk taken out of the black trim on the bottom of the front spoiler.

This is a great opportunity to buy an original, low mileage car. If anyone is interested in the car, I’ll take £5,000 for a quick sale. Any questions, drop me an E-mail (robert.evans@dstintl.com).

Many thanks

Rob

If its your 3rd car get both dampers refurbed for £400 and keep it.

5 grand is way too cheap for this imho - unless of course the cambelt needs doing as well?

Would sell at £6,995 with the dampers/cambelt done imho.

Stick that on pistonheads and you'll take a deposit over the phone that day - when I was looking some cars were selling on the day - or had at 3 other viewers before you could.

The cam belt hasn't been changed. I assumed it didn't need to be changed until 72,000 miles but I have now been advised otherwise. What is frustrating is that it was in with Renault for a service last year and they didn't point this out.

If they havent advised you to get the cambelt done (every 5 yrs regardless of mileage), does that mean the aux belt (every 36k / 3 years) hasnt been done either ?!!
