Hi everyone,

I've just bought a Trophy with what I think are eibach proline springs fitted. Had a bit of a search but can't find a definitive answer to how these differ from the standard springs. I am tempted to revert back to the original spec.

Does anyone know the difference in specs? Has anyone changed from standard to prolines and can offer a subjective description of the difference?

Thanks,

Tom

I dont think anyone knows the standard rates (except MF!) but these are the eibach rates

Spring rates of the Eibach Pro-kit
Front 18-27 N/mm; 160- 239 lb/in progressive
Rear 28-70 N/mm; 248- 620 lb/in progressive

Spring rates of the Eibach Sportline
Front 18-27 N/mm; 160- 239 lb/in progressive
Rear 40-85 N/mm; 354- 752 lb/in progressive

Sportlines drop it about 10mm, Prolines would be the same as/slightly higher than the standard Trophy Eibachs i would have thought ...

Not sure i see the point in changing to Prolines tbh.

Ah, didn't see that there were links!

So the prolines lower the ride height by 15mm. I assume that this is from the standard 182. If my assumption is correct then the change to a Trophy would be 2mm (from what i can gather the Trophy is 10mm lower than the cup which is 3mm lower than the 182).

Changing back to standard would therefore not be noticeable visually but may be slightly softer sprung?
