My trophy has several small dents along the centre crease on the bonnet. Having been to a few meets I know this is a common issue. (pushing on the bonnet to latch it!! ) :evil

Was wondering if anyone has had this repaired or looked at. Am having my permagard topup in may so thought now might be a good time to get it sorted and have some stone chips taken care of at the same time.

Am in Essex/Cambridge if you know any good dent removal specialists?

Cheers

Gazza, search for my topic on this.. Someone recommended a mobile guy, and they posted pics, before and after - very impressive. I still need to get my bonnet done - so very annoying!

On your permaguard renewal sticker, did they write 10 or 12 months? I thought it was every 12 months but they've made my renewal date10 months... Believe it comes up in May or June too.

Permaguard is every 12 months quicksilver, (or just after) I just had my first renewal with Avie (dunnno if that's how you spell it) over by CIty airport - looking very clean now, only want to take it out when its not raining!!

I phones about a month before it was due and they said I should book it in for just after the 12 month date.

im a month over my 12 months but they didnt seem to mind when they phoned up. To be honest I thought they might call me up to see about booking it in. But it sounds like they are pretty busy

I used Clean Image in chelmsford for a couple of parking dings in my door. They have a guy that comes in on Saturday mornings. He did a good job of those. No sign of them now.

I know of a couple of places around here but you might be better advised going over to CS and asking over there.

best place i know of is just on the outskirts of huddersfield. It's the place were all the highend sports cars get done - last time i was there they had porkies, rare ferraris etc.

not expensive, high quality and a family business. An hours/ 1.30 hrs drive for you from newark.

what sort of price did they charge you for that luke?

I took this from their website.....

Great Value Prices on Paintless Dent Removal
...and we will not charge for dents we are unable to repair:

First Dent (up to the size of a fifty pence coin) £60.00+vat
£50.00+vat with valet

Second small dent on same panel FREE
All subsequent small dents £40.00+vat
Larger Dents £80 - £140+vat
Dents in roofs are subject to quotation.
If you have more than eight dents, usually
you will get a few for free.
For Hail Damage, please ask for a quotation.
Not all dents can be done - they depend on accessability.

I would take it in and let them have a look. If your dents are on the creaseline it might be more difficult to remove.

Yikes, I have a feeling that my bonnet's not going to be cheap at this rate!!! Gazza, I wonder if it's worth trying to get a group of us together in order to see if we can secure a discounted price??

Also, for ref - this is my previous topic on dent removal..

http://cliotrophy.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5116&highlight=

Nick C recomended Dent Devils - see the pics on the topic as proof of just how good they are..

Food for thought...??

Anyone in the Essex area fancy a get together for a bulk dent removal session??

That might be possible I guess, was thinking I might pop down on saturday so they can have a look and give me a quote. Im not exactly rolling in it at the moment, so I may have to leave it for a while as some of the prices in this post are plain silly.

Dent devils sound good, but i dont think they fix stone chips but I am tempted to try doing that myself.

I'm sure I read somewhere that dent devils are £70 odd per panel, however checking their site, I couldn't find any such mention - only prices starting from £75 IIRC..

All this could be avoided if people weren't so carelss in carparks.. Makes my blood boil!!! (swear)
