Hi all got a set if Catcams 428 cam shafts including perfect Dephaser and exhaust sprocket. Perfect condition, would recommend fitting these at the same time as a cambelt as it will be no additional cost! So if your due a cambelt soon this is the ideal modification. The spec for the 428 cams are fast road so as such the idle is perfect yet they have a great slug more torque throughout the revs and the 5k kick is harder. On my engine it made 189 bhp and 170lbft of torque. Bare in mind 182 engines never make the quoted 180 bhp, more like 170 if your lucky. So your realistically gaining 20 bhp and 30 lbft Of torque.
These cost £600 new from Ktec or similar I want £330 plus £15 insured courier.

Hi
Do these just fit straight in and work with the Renault VVC.
also does the ECU need remapping to work properly.

Hi Shane yes they retain the vvt and all the standard idle etc. like all cams they will need remapping/RS tuner map to operate at their best.

Hi
Are these easy to fit?
I am having a new timing belt fitted
by the local Renault Dealer.
I don't want some numpty getting it wrong.
We have no specialists here in Northern Ireland.

Dead easy if your doing the cambelt. In a nutshell everything you do on a cambelt is the same, only difference you take cam cover off (series of bolts) remove camshafts, put in new camshafts refit cam cover with sealant and carry on with cambelt replacement. Would take 15 minutes!

Yep, obviously drives and sounds no different but induction noise is like a ITB car when you hit 5k! ;)
