Hi im thinking of getting all the belts and pulleys done very soon but also thinkin about uprating the cams while im doing everything else. So just want to know which ones, where and general advice

if you are on a budget like me, pick up a set of 2nd hand clio 197 cams, should cost about £100 from somewhere like Reparts, will have to take it to someone that knows what they are doing as the Timing need tweaking

Sounds good. I can trade price on the service parts from my main dealer so dont mind so extra costs. Have you any one in mind that knows what they are doing?

Dan Potter who works at SJM Automotive in Street/Glastonbury.

Or Michael Woodford Motorsport. Mike operates in Staines.

Both are well-known RenaultSport specialists and are more than competent mappers.

Also, what about Catcams 438 profile, for example? Depends how extreme you want to go I guess.

Cant remember the brand but they are a billet cams similar profile to 428's but with a fraction more at top dead centre

will be ringing him on Wed to get mine in, get the 197 cams fitted, and the leak that has appeared around the top seal, i got nice 2hr drive to see him

The 197 cams are meant to give very good gains with some nice mapping.
