I'm awaiting delivery of a new smartphone / PDA (HTC P3600) which has built-in GPS and am looking for a mounting solution. I don't want a suction mount as they seem to be a magnet for opportunist thieves.

Has anyone tried the Brodit ProClip in their Clio (or in another car)? Looks like a great solution because you don't need to drill holes in the dashboard (crap photo though):

Then you need the holder which screws into the mount, e.g. http://www.pdaonline.co.uk/getbroditjpg.php?bc=971715

So it's this basically:

I use the suction mount that came with my XDA Orbit but it lives in the glove box and I wipe the mark off the windscreen (after my mum who's a DC told me the little tea-leaves look for the sucker mark).
