...what would it be, and why? No budget limits, but remember that although it will be given to you, you will have to fill it up with fuel and service it and this is your only car for the rest of your life, so if you EVER need a boot or have more than two friends, the Maccer isn't the obvious...

As the title says :( - probably the V6 too
As some of you know, I'm traveling between the UK and North America twice a week at the moment - I only come back to the UK to see my wife and kids. Anyway, I'm thinking about moving them over to the states with me full-time for the next 12...

I know it's a bit unfair because it would still be a little tight, but I can confirm that a Trophy is appreciably quicker up a slightly twisty hill than a 197 :)
Blue one tried to keep up and failed earlier today here:
http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi? ... imap.y=186
Saw my first 197 (outside of a showroom) on the Eastern Bypass in Oxford outside the BMW works on Tuesday evening.
I was at the scene of an accident which had just occured, waving at traffic to slow down, and you were one of very few people who bothered to slow down to a sensible speed whilst...
I've been told by R-sport that the brake lines on my Trophy are already braided, however, a lot of people on here swear by Goodridge braided brake lines with good results. Is there anyone near Redhill or Croydon who's fitted these lines able to let me test them out so I can see the difference...
For a mate of mine, 182 in Liquid Yellow wanted. Mileage and condition not too important, but needs to be a straight car with good service history and low number of owners. No dodgy HPi write-offs, etc.
Cash waiting for the right car, but must, must be Liquid Yellow :)
just decided to phone up and order the Spax lowering springs for the trophy (20mm) but they have been discontinued due to a lack of sales??? lol
Not being funny but i said to the guy that there are only a percentage of the 551 or so trophys in the world that are gonna want to lower them...
Can anyone tell me the correct suspension settings for a trophy.
F/R toe, Camber etc as I'd like to check all the settings on my car.
I suspect the 60% worn tyres are contributing to the torquesteer, but would like to check before replacing them.
Note that 7MAT seems to have increased...
My brother and i are off to the Nurburgring in early November.
Going to be hitting the 'ring hard for 2 days straight and was just wondering how people reckon the trophy will deal with this punishment on the car and the brakes especially?
I'm lucky enough to own a CSL but really wanna take the...

Well guys,
Rentech has done a brilliant job servicing my Trophy. If you live anywhere near them you have to be mad not to take your pride and joy to them. They fitted the upgraded brake kit I bought from YozzaSport.......Braided hoses, grooved Brembo discs and DS2500 pads. They also...

Did you need camber bolts on the front wheels?
I am about to have mine dialled in with about 2.2 degrees of front camber but I am not too sure how much camber the front can adjusted utilising the stock suspension geometry. I understand...
Test drove a 197 today while my Trophy was in for its 12K service. Dealer allowed me to really 'test' the car, staying away from dual carrageways in favour of a few miles of twisting country roads.
Plus points for me...
Cant argue with the claims of better build quality - it felt like a...

As a newbie on here ive currently got a Lotus Exige S1 as a weekend toy and an Alfa Romeo 156 as my daily driver but am thinking of ditching it for a 182 or Trophy but was just wondering how comfortable a Trophy would be doing 20k miles a year up and down motorways?
We all know that Renaultsport will release a Cup version of the 197 in a years time or so, along with a hundred or so other packs and variants but will they relesase a Trophy version, perhaps at the end of it's run?
If so, what would people like to see in the Trophy version? I'll start...
Help needed please.
Need to get the wheel balancing and alignment sorted on my Trophy. I know a few peeps have had it done to theirs with excellent results.
So i need to get it done and im looking for somone to recommend a company to me who they know are good at this type of thing. I am...
Regardless of who is right and wrong between your man with the crocked car and Highway Insurance, its interesting to see them referring to posts he's made on a forum as 'evidence' of his dodgy driving.

Many thanks to Olis for recommending Aurok for my geometry check. Although using the ‘old fashioned’ method of string and gauges, they confirmed my suspicions of incorrect tracking and mismatched camber angles. The camber was obviously slightly out from the factory but the tracking...
anybody else go to see the "clio cup" racing at Croft yesterday? along with the usuall touring cars...the clios were pretty cool, couldnt belive how hard they were going into the 1st turn...you were free to look around the cars and talk to the drivers & mechanics if thats your thing...here are a...
Ok so scanning the news of the world for general celebs with there norks out and came across an article written by some cunt callled JAMES FAXALL you just read the article and you will discover that well jamie faxall really knows F*U*C*ksall
When I picked up my Trophy the other month it was missing a front splitter. I wasn't really too fussed at first but now I keep seeing all the others with them, it kind of makes me feel left out!!!
Would I be best going through the dealer or do any of you lot know any places to get one? How...
