What is a trophy worth in bits? The car in question is completely standard with engine failure
Dampers are fine, one wheel has a kerb mark that I can see and the mileage is 65-70k miles.
I'm informed the gearbox is fine and the recaro's are in mint condition, any help is appreciated

As it was the sample the t-shirt is not the correct colour, the finished article...

A number of ‘add-on’ additives intended to improve the performance of commercially available automotive lubricants have been marketed in recent years, under such names as ‘Xxtralube ZX-1’, ‘Metol FX-1’, ‘PPL Anti-Friction’ and ‘Activ-8’.All such products share the following characteristics with...
A suitable upgrade for the track orientated Trophy owner or just any road driver that wants the extra adjustability these dampers offer.
These are the Sportline II's not the cheaper sportline I's that most people fit, the main difference is the 45mm diameter front piston, enables more precise...
Just recently my T has started making a few knocks and bangs, I have (what sounds like) the exhaust banging against the bumper when I go over any uneven road surface - but I don't think it is this due to the exhaust not moving much when you push it. Will have to investigate more!
But I was...
Hi,
Just got my sachs back from being refurbished and I would like to repaint them as they have a couple spots of surface rust (unsuprising really). Anybody done this themselves? if so what did you use and and how did you do it?

.........this is going to be my first 'hands on' job on the T.
Any idea if this is a relatively straight forward job? Out of interest, does anyone know if the calipers are slide in/out or twist in /out?
Looking for the best setup for fast road use and 'occasional' track use.
Many Thanks
Curiosity got the better of me so I decided to strip down my spare damper to see the inner workings and also see if I could find out why it had gone ‘soft’.
I really had no idea what to expect as ive never seen the insides of a Remote Reservoir Damper before but I did have a picture in my head...
Hi folks
Just thought I'd say hello.
I'm after getting a car and after my usual intensive research I've decided to make it my quest to get a 182 Trophy. I realise these things are pretty rare and probably only appear for sale as often as Haley's comet visits the solar system but I'll keep my...
Was driving on an A road at speed and needed to slow down, however, the car did not slow down as it should and literally had to press the pedal till it would go no further. The car eventually slowed to a stop right up behind the car in front waiting at the round about. He must have thought I...
I had read a blog from a team that races 172s and they had said that the rear wheel bearings were a consumable item and needed replacing pretty often.
Yesterday i changed my rear brakes & bearings for brand new genuine renault bits, and also cleaned several tonnes of crap off the inside of my...
This is something different but well worth reading. It was written by our learned friend in Stoke and we think is of interest to any car or bike owner.
Well…………! In The Beginning there was Carbon and Hydrogen.
These got together in accordance with rules forged in the Big Bang (yes, really!)...
Sad sad day! I am relutantly selling this amazing hot hatch due arrival of company car. This really is the best car I have ever owned and I'll be very sad to see it go.

Hey guys,
When I bought my Trophy a year ago the first thing I did was upgrade the brakes (to the little known CRN grooved discs and EBC RedStuff pads). I have to be honest they are actually very, very good (and I got them cheaper as they were part of a group buy in which my Good Lady also...
Right as an owner of a Trophy for the last few months we have all seen the horror stories surrounding the front dampers & the costs from the stealers involved in replacing them.
Whilst looking into the dampers, you soon realise why they are 'so' good. Not your usual bolt on upgrade, but top...
