Sadly a change in work circumstances saw me part with the S2000 after a brief ownership... doubling the amount of miles I do and getting an offer too good to refuse on the Honda (selling for a good profit having done 5k miles :D ) has seen me pick up this :
Full John Cooper Works Body...
It's been a while since i've taken some photos of number 427.
I have also been neglecting the paintwork but as i've been loving driving it again recently my love has been reignited :D
Weapon of choice:
Plus a huge selection of products. I got bored after 4 hours though. Tomorrow i will get...

I filled up after work on thursday(shell 95 as was only option), drove home, average was 46mpg by the time i'd got back.
Still hovering around 43mpg after work the next day.
Drove up to central london at 8pm, still at...
Thinking of upgrading from my 172 to a 197 cup or megane 230. wondering if anyone can help me decide. i like the idea of the stripped out 197 but think the 230 is a bit better to live with everyday. i've drove the 230 and it was very quick, but havent had a go of a 197 yet.
im also thinking...
i went down to my local tesco today and saw a lovely s2 lotus exige in black. ive never seen one up close and can say it looks amazing. how much of a gap is is to a trophy? is it best for this sort of car be in a garage as i do not have one and that it would be parked outside on a main road...
hi,
Been looking to get another car seeing as I have blown my car up at the minute. Now while I love my type R I can't really risk blowing it up again while doing track days. So had a look at swapping to a hot hatch. Looked at all the cars and decided it has to be the clio 182.
Now what I...

Hi all, hope i'm posting in the right place. Picked up my trophy no. 108 on sunday, noticed in the past few days a whine or whiring noise which to me sounded like a pulley bearing...on searching this site someone mentioned the idler bearing, i presume on the aux belt, on their trophy was causing...
Me and 'Tonyment' met up with a few guys from Cliosport for a drive out round Lancashire. It was organized by Matt over on Cliosport. He owns the LY V6 which I really enjoyed chasing through the back roads. :D Kept up no problem  , although there was a scairy moment at one point where...

The reason accidents occur on these roads you communistical fools is that a) the road surface is usually crap, b) visibility around corners = 0, c) caravaners force drivers to take unnecessary risks because they simply won't get out of the...
This is something different but well worth reading. It was written by our learned friend in Stoke and we think is of interest to any car or bike owner.
Well…………! In The Beginning there was Carbon and Hydrogen.
These got together in accordance with rules forged in the Big Bang (yes, really!)...
Hey Gang,
I've asked on CS & thought I'd ask on here for peace of mind tbh.
Right the issue I have is my car has only covered just over 17,000 miles & all seems well, pulls as normal, idles the same as before, but I noticed as I pushed the car further up the rev range & as it came on cam there...
Hi everyone -
I've been knocking around the idea of getting a Trophy for a while now, and I'm going to be buying one very soon now.
Quick question: is it best to get a bog-stock example (what I've always done in the past) or does the Trophy respond well to a cat-back pipe and a panel filter...
To all those who are looking for a Trophy or have recently purchased one (there seem to be many at present!). What's led you to your purchase?.. Wondering if something specific has sparked interest, like a magazine article or suchlike?
Hi im new to this form and i need help making my mind up.
I just sold my Mk2 V6 after only having it 6 months, i previously had a 172 and loved it and was considering buying a trophy.
The V6 was a great car but but running costs were high for the limited performance and it just didn't seem as...
Just had to go back up to Scotland. 550 miles each way. Up on Sunday & back on Monday.
Little Trophy never missed a beat.
40 mpg and Mountain bike in the back. Cruise control even came in handy to stop me getting tickets.
The hard ride also serves the purpose of keeping you awake.....
Hello chaps :)
Some may remember me, I'm not sure who's around from when I bought mine when the Trophy 1st launched.
I had 297/500 for 8500 joyful miles, since then I've had a heap of cars of varying style. S2k/Audi TT/Integra DC5/Tuned Cooper S and now currently a Nissan 350z GT with a fruity...

Finally got a new K-tec Ultra performance Sports Exhaust along with a remap done on the Trophy.
Sounds great and the power delivery is smoother.
Very happy with the results!
Are synthetics better?
The basic benefits are as follows:
Extended oil drain periods
Better wear protection and therefore extended engine life
Most synthetics give better MPG
They flow better when cold and are more thermally stable when hot
Esters are surface-active meaning a thin layer...
Hi guys, at the moment ive got a 197 which is great apart from the fuel costs and im thinking of selling as i want to buy a house soon and need to cut down on my monthly payments etc... and thinking about maybe 'down grading' to a trophy (if i can find a nice one for the right price, otherwise a...
The time may be coming to move along from 193 :( Just think something bigger might be in order for the new year. Just thinking what could replace it now. Suggestions welcome. I do about 10-12K per year, motorway commute in the morning, so something that does that with the fun factor too.
today i went to my local shell garage to fill up with v power and it cost me £47.54 this time last year my old 172 was only about £38. i cant believe the prices in petrol, i quite like my car nearly running on fumes though feels very good round corners compared to 70kg of extra weight with...
Hi All,
Just bought a 1 owner 29k Mile Trophy. Paid 7k. From a chap just down the road from me.
Will dig out the number tonight so i can update the register.. EDIT Number: 224
Car was in pretty poor condition for such low mileage, but has the full service history, and hpi clear, as well as a...
Feet are itching again and it's the same old R26 that's causing it.
I've been offered a 6,000 mile R26 with xenons for an additional 5.5k with part/x on my 24k mint, new front PE2's, serviced, mot'd and taxed Trophy.
Shall I ???? Is it a [-X or a
Basically 8k for mine 13.5k for...
=D> 410 miles on a tank, 40.8mpg.... just filled up with v-power and will be giving #274 a good clean this w/e as a reward for breaking the 400 mile per tank magical milestone.
A few probably do this, but as they've mainly been town miles not motorway miles I think it's an achievement...... 8)
Has anyone with the RS Tuner experienced an improvement in fuel economy when driven with a light foot of course?
I'm quite baffled as I seem to get much lower MPG with my Trophy than I ever did with my previous 182 full fat, I thought it would be the other way round seeing as the Trophy is...
