Anyone using a smaller redtop battery or similar in your road car how have you got on with it holding its charge etc
If you relocated it where too etc
Thanks
Hi all, hope i'm posting in the right place. Picked up my trophy no. 108 on sunday, noticed in the past few days a whine or whiring noise which to me sounded like a pulley bearing...on searching this site someone mentioned the idler bearing, i presume on the aux belt, on their trophy was causing...
Anyone else having the same problem and can it be fixed?......when I take the car out for a good blast or from a long journey, when I come to stop (traffic lights or jct) The car seems to 'tick' loudly? and if I up the revs slightly the ticks seem to go faster to the revs?? I thought it might be...
I'm having my inlet manifold matched next week and just wanted to know if anyone else has had this done! Will i notice much difference from standard? As I'm getting it done at a reasonable price i thought it would silly to turn it down!

Carbon air box is in perfect condition.

I've managed to pick up a 2nd hand Maxogen kit, but at 1st sight it seems that the battery will need re positioning to fit the filter in place, if anyone's got any pictures of there engine bay with the maxogen fitted it would clear a few things up.
Also the smaller pipe that t's off the inlet...
Spotted at Revolution247, .
Good of you to pop along mate, you really made me want to get a exhaust for the Trophy, yours sounded mint.
Think after the cam and aux kits are done, got the car detailed and new front tyres are fitted the exhaust will have to be next on the list. :D .
Hi everyone -
I've been knocking around the idea of getting a Trophy for a while now, and I'm going to be buying one very soon now.
Quick question: is it best to get a bog-stock example (what I've always done in the past) or does the Trophy respond well to a cat-back pipe and a panel filter...
New to the forum and the Trophy – just bought 415. I am having trouble sourcing two brand new Pilot Exalto PE2s locally to me here in west Kent. Any idea where I can find them for around £110 each?
Discovered tonight my side light on the passsenger side is out, even with the headlight turned on the side light doesnt come on, neither does the one next to it, just the headlight comes on, checked the bulb that is clipped in and it looks fine but i couldnt get the other bulb out.
Also with the...

think im gunna get my car dyno tested next month, but wanna know what trophies out there have had it done and what bhp and torques figures you have. would be intersting to see this with some cars standard and some modded and compare them
I finally have just had a look. Main visual changes are to the inlet manifold - fatter and shorter, which is obviously intended to help the top end - looks like the lower half may be the same as the 182, coils built into plug caps and modified head casting/cam cover to accommodate more...
Has anyone had the Mark Fish exhaust mod done? - He said he'd done a couple of Trophies.
Basically he cuts a 1/4 of the cat off and welds in a nice shiny, new, larger bit of tube to replace the crappy cat to exhaust joint - he reckons its good for 5 bhp??
Cost £125 - anyone think its worth...
My Second trip to Germany and the Ring this year, but my 1st with the Trophy, and again it was awesome!
Catching the Ferry over early on Friday, and returned on Sunday.
1200 miles covered, over 4 contrys in 3 days, through some stunning scenery.
The Hotel again was brill, lush food and...
With great regret I have decided to sell my 182, I've owned this car for just under 2 years and am its second owner (first was the parts manager at JayBee Renault in Banbury)
Its first Mot was about a month ago and it failed on a 1mm split in a cv joint and a worn ball joint, both of which I...
I'm thinking of upgrading my Cams. I've been looking at the K-Tec performance Cams and the Schrick Billet Camshafts off Yozzasport. Has anyone got these and can you tell me why the Shrick cams are £200 more expensive? They both claim to retain good idle etc. but do you know of any issues...
Went for a back road blast last night and a lovely badger seem to take a liking to the front of no 190 :( Not too much damage considering it like hitting a small brick wall, new from splitter (again) seems to have bronen the front part of the passenger side wheel arch liner and there is some...
Finally got around to taking some photos of the trophy. Had it for little over 2 months now.
I have done quite a few bits since buying her, although I’ve tried to keep everything subtle yet effective.
Modifications to date include;
Milltek cat-back exhaust system
New rear exhaust...
Hill Power Inlet Bend - Think this was about £60 new. Will deliver it for £30
Janspeed Cat-back Stainless Steel System AND Decat
Brand new the Exhaust alone is £346 : http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1264
Plus the price of the Decat pipe, will take the lot over...
do angel works do remaps, i know they do the inlet manifold but dont know if they do remaps if they did i would consider getting both parts, ive heard there conciderd very highly for the renaultsports
How come the clio cup race cars have the filter bolted straight onto the inlet manifold? Ive seen 4 now and all have this set up.
Doesnt this cause heat soak?
Has anyone tried this on their Trophy, with what results?
Cheers Scott
my mum has treated an early birthday present giving me some money so i could get a remap, the closest place is gdi its only 20 miles where i live but been told the best place is is rstuning in leeds, and got told having a custom remap is better to suit your car than a group n. is there any...
as its a nice day i went for a drive around the countryside and thought about cutting a hole so my induction could breath better, do you think this could devalue the car and even damage the engine if it rains, dont want water sucking in the engine
ive got some mods on my car, a viper cold air feed kit, janspeed ultra performance exhaust system and the new sports cat to go with it and the car feels pretty much the same. ive tried some 0-100mph runs on a private road and i cant see any difference, do you think i need a remap to help it out?
Cue
A while back you mentioned a discounted group rr session at RS tuning, did you get anywhere with it?
If so how many do you need and who would be up for it?
I see from their web site they do power runs for £50.
Cheers
