Im contemplating doing a track day soon in my T, and just wondering what settings to have the front dampers set to for it.
Its got un-pinned dampers up font with MF springs all round and on the standard rear shocks. Cheers...
Hi - my dampers due to go in at BG on October 31st. Getting the struts power coated too.
It's expensive enough already (and have been happily buying other bits for my new car without keeping an eye on what i'm spending!) - and adds another £170 to the bill.
Has anyone done this, and if you...

Hi.
Im just wondering a few things.
On my car I have a set of Mark Fish springs.
The car came with them fitted.
I also got the standard springs as part of the deal.
Without changing them around, can somebody tell me,,
Are the MF springs shorter an stiffer than he standard ones.?
If so, how...
Hi there everyone, im the new owner of Trophy 309. Been driving it for less than a day and i really cant understand why ive not bought one before, amazing!
However it has adjustable rear dampers and ive been told by the guy that there on full hardness however after driving ive noticed that the...
As the title says
Can somebody post or send me the OEM suspension settings of the
t as I am going to fit the Sachs suspension to my
cup-packed 182 next week.
And additionally you can give me some hints for improvement.
I already bought camber bolts for the front.
I use the car on B-Roads and...
When one of my Sachs failed recently I was in a real dilemma over what to do. To have them refurbished is the best part of £500 just for the front two shocks and there’s no real warranty on the repair. Combine that with the horror stories of people having them refurbished just for them to either...
Hi
I've just refitted my Sachs after CF serviced them and like at least one other person on here they seem incredibly firm. Now I've owned my T for about 5 years and I've driven lots of other Ts so I have a pretty good idea of what's normal, and quite frankly my Sachs dampers currently feel...
Whats there to say really, BigDave popped round Saturday morning as a mate of ours was fitting ktr/vibratechnics uprated engine + gearbox mounts and a powerflex dogbone so while they were doing that i cracked on with getting the sachs back on the trophy and fitting the sportlines, turned the...
As above, I've purchased a set of Koni Yellow adjustable rear dampers and was wondering what is the best setting for road use whilst still maintaining decent handling.
My clickers have seen better days and I can't hear or feel the clicks sometimes.
I am hoping to return them to the standard 22 clicks but as I say the clicker seems a bit vague.
I was wondering how many clicks are in a full turn, if anybody has ever tried/tested this before.
Any information...
Firstly, apologies if this is covered in a thread I haven't found - I have searched the damper threads but couldn't locate the answer to this specific question.
Basically, has anyone had their Sachs dampers unpinned and compared the car's ride on the softest setting against the hardest? If so...

Hi
I have recently received my dampers back from Simon @ Cornering Force in Yorks.
I have had several phone conversations with him, mithering him with questions and understanding what happens and what to expect.
For background, he is a very knowledgeable chap and is involved in the Amd Golf...
I set the newly refurbed dampers to (what I thought was) 22 clicks. It was as stiff as anything, handled well but felt extremely unstable on the motorway and there was literally no body roll.
I've turned them down a few times and there's a slight bit of body roll now and it feels better...
Since we now know that Renault UK are now supplying Sachs Twingo R1 dampers (p/n: 77 111 67 414 and 77 111 67 413) as a replacement for the Trophy and are now charging £1400 each, I thought I would contact the official RenaultSport UK rally parts supplier to see how much they would supply these...

Just thought I would do an update from a myself, a new owner member of a trophy re 131. Picked T up from Wales last Wednesday , first to see did buy! Great price but as always there is a snag, not deliberate by the seller more like the things to do when you get a second hand performance car! On...
Always good to see a new photo or two, click on photo to enlarge :-) ........
Front shox (re-furbed and de-pinned) were set on about 25 clicks on all these photos - need to do some more with them much harder..
Loving my new Momo steering wheel btw! (pic in "my Garage")...
Good day chaps!
My recent MOT revealed a leaking driver's side damper. So it's my intention to whip the shocks off, send them to BG for refurb, off which i have just emailed. Just a note, I emailed Mark Fish first, who basically said use BG as they have the market covered for this job.
While...

Just got myself a Trophy which has the Mark fish springs and koni rear shocks. Have played around with the settings on the shocks and as recommended elsewhere on here have set the rears at 1 and a quarter off full soft and the fronts at 22 clicks. I do a lot of road miles and am finding the...
These were in the car when i bought it. I have since and replaced with original ones. Looks good however I wanted the car to be unmodified.
£20.00 including postage.
This is what they look like;
Having had a clio mk3 1.2 TCE for a while, then moving on to a Lupo Gti for 18 months, I've now made a return to clio ownership with Trophy (No.248)...
Bought it from a guy in Grantham not too far from me, it was his wifes run around and has only covered 22k, already had the dampers refurbished...
...and the bulb is pointing too high and blinding people. Nearside lens is fine, it's the driver's. I have no experience with headlight clusters, but i know it'll be a right mare to replace if that's what's needed!? Is there a manual adjustment on them, or can i just change the motor for...
Hey guys,
The Sachs are coming off '380' later as they're booked in with Ben on the 8th. I've noticed a lot of people saying that they've had the struts un-pinned to allow adjustment to the damping. I've had a quote of £25.00 each + vat, is it worth me getting this done while they're away?
Hi all,
My car has felt a little "different" lately especially on the front passenger side. Doesn't seem to handle as confidently as it did and the front seems a little "bouncy". I can push the passenger side down and get it to bounce quite easily whereas the driver's side is solid and will...
Ok, there's good news and bad news. I'll start with the good, so I can delay the inevitable lol. I LOVE these tyres. I fitted them at the beginning of December. I've used them through snow, ice, rain, you name it. They start well from cold for a track tyre. A bit of wheel spin in snow and ice...
