Over on cliosport.net I have read many threads that describe the 182’s 5K kick.
I had often thought that these threads over hyped the kick as I can only just feel an increase at 5200 revs in my Trophy, but recently I drove Steve’s (sm wrc) 182 and his car really does kick...
This a bit a long post, apologies but hopefully of interest to more than just me :)
So I read all of http://cliotrophy.co.uk/forum/viewtopic ... 74&start=0
very interesting, noting the follwing
I am considering going for the 12mm bolts (-2 deg, 0.00 toe-out) but am now thinking about...
Just got back from a track day at bedford. had so much fun on the track and the trophy loved it. After 3-4 laps at a time of the GT circuit i didn't really notice much brake fade. I did around 120 miles on the track the car wanted to do more. One thing i noticed was on the hairpins i had unreal...

Known locally amongst trade friends as 'Le 182 Bunker', I now have a unit to store cars available, cleaned and ready to go. As you may be aware, I don't just sell Clio Trophies, but really enjoy driving Trophy and Cup models - hence the bias towards them. e.g "Don't buy a Cooper S Works until...
Seeing as a few of us are planning trips to the 'Ring over the next few months, I thought I should post a link to this website that has some amazing on board footage of laps at the 'Ring - http://www.joerundseim.com/default.htm
The guy who set up this website - Joerum Seim who was a respected...
How many people pay for it?
If not why not? Does your normal policy cover you? Are you so rich it doesn't matter?
I'm interested because I would never consider going out on the track with cover, but some people seem to be very blase. From various people I've heard it suggested that all you...
Mentioned about this in another xbox 360 thread. On Pistonheads we do a race aginst the clock each week. Last week was Back to the sun in any E class car.
This week is the 1/2 nurburg f1 circuit in any C class car. If your interested in having a laugh then give it a try. Add my gamertag...
In preparation for trackday season, I took my Trophy to get the tracking done today, which is all good, but their 4 wheel laser alignment system showed that I have -1.01 degrees of camber on the left front, and -0.24 on the right :?
I was told that this was not a great amount to be out, but...

The January edition of CAR magazine has a 2005's Hottest Car supplement, which of course features the hottest hatchback of the year, the Clio Trophy!
They test a variety of cars around Silverstone's National circuit. The Clio clocked a lap time of 1:14.80, and was given a on track...
Quick report should anyone be interested
Where to start...
Andy Walsh - the instructor (ex Benetton F1 test driver) nice bloke, laid back and good at conveying complex points succinctly.
Began with the basics, eg how to turn the steering wheel. I knew about pushing , not pulling...
Looks like the Trophy reign as 'king' of the modern hatches is going to be pretty short.
New Focus St looks like a bit of a beast.
And at 17.5k you cant really give the old arguement of it being aimed at a different market. Its only 2.5k more expensive, and the same sort of price as the...
Had a good day at Goodwood today. Great circuit, very fast. If you get the chance to go there definitely worth it. The Clios were suprising a lot of people there :D.
To quote a TVR driver: " Those Clios are quick aren't they. I dont like being overtaken  "
:D

Hello,
I have stumbled across this forum and hopefully you guys can give me some advice.
My current weekend toy is a Lotus Elise but I am contemplating swapping it for a Trophy as we have a baby due next year and need something my wife can use day to day but which is still good fun if I...
Really nice and clean Trophy spotted at Snetterton circuit yesterday. Only distinguishing feature were Sparco seat belt pads. Trophy did not move all day, and was parked behind a marshalls post, so I think the owner may have been a marshall...I was there helping out in the pits for one of the...
So, assuming that I actually get a (trophysmall) should I follow the advice in the manual (which I assume will say baby it for 500, open up a bit more next 500 or something similar) or should I make sure she's warmed up properly and then give it death?
Also, is there a 1000 mile mini...
Right you lot, we seem to have a decent number of Trophy owners on the Forum now, and it has been decided that maybe it is time to sort out a big meet to get as many Trophys together in one place.
I am looking to get some ideas at the moment, and would love to hear some of your ideas.
My...
