Hi,

Will 195/50/16 (toyo R888) stretch over the trophy wheels?

Looking at doing some trackdays, any recommendations on tyres?

Cheers

Just buy some 15" wheels it'll work out much cheaper in the long run.

:D

+1 on that, you'll save around £20 per tyre on 15" tyres, quickly adds up to a 2nd set of wheels

no in terms of handling - the gearing is slightly better on 15"'s imo but it's hardly noticable.

i echo what everyone's said - 15" if your doing track work. 5 track days = £100+ saving in tyres....

I'm running 15" rims with 205/50 tyres on my 182 Cup (Bridgestone RE-11 tyres.) For outright grip they easily beat the previously fitted 205/45R16 Exalto PE2's, the only trade off is slightly slower steering response.
