recaro seat fault??

My drivers seat tilts and slides to allow access to the back.

My passenger seat only tilts. It will not slide.

Is this right?

Both should tilt and slide take it to a renault dealer. If your lucky they will fix for nothing.

i would expect it to be done free as its still in warrenty.

Just don't back down with dealer, I ve had trouble getting problens done under warranty.

Was over on the megane sport forum before and they are fuming about the r26 recall. Some owners have had there cars for over 2 weeks!

On the seat runners there is a funny little metal rocker thing. spray some wd40 on that and give it a little prod. I had problem with seat not sliding then tilted to let people in the back on old car and just a little play with that seemed to free it up. Sorry if it doesn't make much sense but I'm not the most technical of people.

i've got a problem wiht both of mine, the passenger never slides forward and the driver one does about 1% of the time.

i cannot be bothered to take it to the dealer and be without it for a day, so will try the wd40 trick as above.

Luckily it doesn't annoy me too much!

Thanks mate, that link is very helpfull. It could save me a 200mile round trip to the dealers to get it fixed.

I'll have a bash this weekend and advise of the outcome.

i had this problem on both my seats its the cable under the recaros thats come off
