My wheel need refurbishing soon and they will be going black. I saw a red CTR last week with the wheels done black and a thin red stripe around the rim, looked quite good, think i will just stick to all black though.

I think it will look the part and you can always return them to how they were if you really dont like them.

Agree that it looks smart, however, don't forget that it's pretty much impossible to get the exact colour (as per a recent thread, so if you don't like it and want a perfect oem match or you want to return to standard, you'll be looking at a new set of rims or a colour match job.. Sorry if I sound negative - just thought I should point out :)

Anyone on here still thinking of getting a Focus RS should do this. It's got all gloss black details and a really plain set of wheels. Hey, it's not exactly a subtle car so you might as well finish the job!

I thought if you give the colour code to the refurbers they could match it but it just costs a little bit more ? Surely it would be a very close match ?

Well if that's the case, I'll be very pleased because I have a small nick in one of mine that I wouldn't mind getting done... Can anyone confirm if the above is true? (based on previous comments about the availability of the paint..)

PM 'Gib172', he has just had his done. I was having a crack with him about it the other day. The guy who did it said he had two shades of the anthracite but if he give him the colour code he could match it and would cost a bit more.

He also said that because he would have to order in the paint for the colour match you get to keep whats left afterwards.

If all you're looking for is a match for the Anthracite grey to get a wheel refurb then Chips Away can match the Ixell paint code - I had it done and it was spot on.
