My mate driving the Trophy

Just let my mate drive the trophy tonight, he drives a Corolla TSport which i have drove and is just as quick as the Trophy, actually when i was driving his TSport i had a tussle with a 197 and i was pulling towards it at the top of the revs in 2nd and 3rd gear. Thsi doesnt happen with the TSport against the Trophy though!
When he was driving the Trophy at the first roundabout we came to i told him to give it some and he couldnt believe how much it gripped, he then proceded to go around evey roundabout very fast and he loved it, he actually said "Ive got to get me one of these".

Every time I take someone out in the trophy and enter a roundabout at speed (or any corner for that matter) they always grab the sides of the seats with both hands, like there hanging on for their life! Happens everytime coz there not used to entering corners at speed coz there cars cant handle it. :lol:

yep...people on RS & CS go on about how the 197 is a faster car..well i've got both and although it does feel faster it isnt...our R27 seems to have a dead spot around 5000rpm where as this is the point the 182 takes off...i think the short shift of the new (and inproved) gearbox gives the impression that the 197 is a faster car to anyone who has driven both...
