MOT fail/warranty

With the warranty, does the work actually have to be done before the warranty runs out or does the garage just need to be aware of it before it runs out? My Trophy has just failed its MOT on every single emissions test I can't take it in to Renault until Monday which is the last day of the warranty and I doubt very much whether they will get it done that day so I'm a bit worried. Does anybody know the answer to this? Thanks.

I believe if you get it reported it will be covered, but you need to get a copy off there computer.

I've just had the ABS sensor changed out of warranty. It had been investigated 6 days before the warranty expired but not fixed so I took it back. There was no problem from Renault at all, I was even given the choice of having Renault pay the full price and not having a warranty on the part or paying 10% myself and getting the part covered for 12 months. If the garage don't help find another, RUK seem ok for warranty work to me, it's certain dealers that seem to cause the problems.
