So some kind soul saw it upon themselves to key the rear wing during the cars previous ownership.
So I dropped it off last week to a mate of mine Andy @ Spikes Vintage Restoration. Quite frankly, Andy is the best painter I’ve ever seen in my life, and the quality of his work is off the scale, check him out on Instagram @andythepaint.
Completely overkill for my little Clio, as it’s now the most perfect piece of paint finish on the whole car.

He also dusted over my Cup washer blanks.

...it's a shame to put those sparkling newly painted parts back on to your now, quite frankly, substandard Clio... :p  :ROFLMAO:

Looks lovely mate! :)

Tell me about it. I keep telling myself it’s just a daily, it’s just a daily.
I even found myself this evening coating the underside of the spoiler area with BH Dynax UB.
Nobody is ever going to see that, but may as well rust proof it while it’s off. ?E736117D-772F-4951-B51C-E3B4AFAE8F02.jpeg

Dusted under the rear wing with some Bilt Hamber Dynax UB before refitting it.
Also did the same when I took the front bumper off to fit the Cup washer blanks.

Also on the look out for a recently rebuilt gearbox with a Quaife diff. If you have or know of a good gearbox I have cash waiting here for the right one.

Another little job,
Noticed the exhaust clamp behind the cat was on borrowed time the other day and decided to order a new heavy duty stainless one.
Small job, I’ll never see it, but never the less satisfying.

More details, I’ll never see and nobody else will either. Lol.
Bonnet seal was old and brittle, so added a nice new one. :)

I replaced my switch as it went faulty so may have a spare if I didn't chuck it, Likely as i'm a hoarder but I'll have to have dig as I've no idea where it may be.

Not much happened on the little Clio lately as I’m still on the hunt for a proper gearbox with diff (think I’ve found one) and hunting for some Recaro Pole Position / Cobra Nogaros.

I did however acquire an ITG Maxogen induction kit for it. The filter element had seen better days so decided to treat it to a new one. Also my car previously had a slightly oversized battery so annoyingly I’ve had to get a smaller 063 size battery to get the carbon airbox in.

Haven’t really driven it yet so can’t comment on the outcome of performance / racket etc. But it looks pretty ???‍♂️

Don't forget to blank off the nipple to the left of the TB in that picture above and i've not forgotten about the alarm rubber.

Ha good man. Yes I’ve done the classic of posting a pic before capping it off. Got a perfect little rubber cap on it so looks OEM ???

What's the extra wire attached to the engine lifting eye?

Another earth lead. I always add a couple of extra earth points back to the battery and chassis from the engine. Always helps running and overall performance in my experience. Especially as the Clio earth lead is a weedy little item and just a single low gauge wire.
