HPI Clear
I have owned this car since the end of January 2013, and covered approximately 3000miles since.
I bought the car to save money, moving from a 2litre petrol to a 1.9litre diesel was a wise move as the Fabia achieves circa 60mpg where as my Clio was seeing around half that, coupled with the tax, the Fabia is a fair bit cheaper to run.
However, I find myself not really clicking with the Fabia, don't get me wrong it's a very nice car to drive, and very capable, it just doesn't fit with me.
The car cruises extremely well in 6th gear and has the power to pull and overtake without changing down, whilst retaining the balance of frugalness.
The car is currently very clean, due to being quite obsessive with cleaning cars, with the paint work being well protected with a coat of durable wax. The only issue being the stone chips on the front end and a minor patch of rust on the bonnet due to the mileage and being a car used to commute daily in, they are the only thing that really lets the car down.
The car has some factory fitted xenon headlights, which as I've been able to research were an option when buying new, something which most people didn't spec, so they are quite the rare option. I've never seen another with them fitted.
The car is very much standard except a forced change in the stereo, as the factory fitted symphony option decided to pack up, so it was replaced with a Sony unit at the beginning of April.
The car has a decent amount of service history to go with it, with the service book being stamped by Skoda up until 93,076 miles, with the cam belt changed at 77,125 miles with stamp to prove. The car was sold not long after the service at 93k and I was advised the oil was changed during it's time at the garage I purchased from, though it is something that I've just had done as an annual thing.
The car is fully HPI clear, I have a certificate to back this up prior to my purchasing it.
The wheels of the car are in decent condition for the age, with the rears in very good condition though the fronts suffer from minor kerbing and bubbling, at the hands of the previous owner (honest). The tyres are Pirelli P-Zero and currently have approx 4mm of even wear tread remaining.
The air con works faultlessly and blows ice cold, but I will top it up to max in the coming week.
The car doesn't suffer from a fairly common problem of window seals failing and the car filling with water, which is a very good thing.
The only other bad point about the car is another common fault, the drivers seat bolster is worn, this is due to people getting in and out of the car in a certain manner, and was like this when I purchased it. You can see the damage highlighted in the pictures.
Another slight flaw with the car is, there is an intermittent issue with the electric windows, only working some of the time, and not first push of the button.
