As you've all had to put up with over the last year, the hosting for this site is continually suffering from poor performance, slow page loading and regular errors. I've finally got to a point where i feel it's no longer acceptable so i have invested in a new hosting package which should...
Hi all,
Having previously used induction kits on all my cars, I ran into a dilemma on recently purchasing a 100% standard Trophy. It is an absolutely fantastic car with a nice raspy exhaust, but doesn't sound like it feels with such a muffled induction sound, something that I would like to...
Part exhange from Cliosport enthusiast, 2002/02 Clio 172 in Iceberg Silver. 67100m FSH. With four nearly new Goodyear Eagles and a subtle replacement stainless exhaust. Recent discs and pads all round. It's even had a new steering wheel and you know how much they are. Very clean and tidy car...
The additional power from a nitrous system can be very addictive and because its such a simple job to increase the power (quickly changing a couple of jets), most users decide to take quick steps up the power ladder. It must however be remembered, that each step places increased demands on the...
Full stainless exhaust, including 200 cell sports cat. Originally a mega expensive system hand built by by Orbisoud who make clio cup race exhausts. Not only does it improve the breathing of the engine, it sounds fantastic and and saves approximately 12kgs over the standard system. Would have...

This item is for sale and is less than a year old in excellent condition with all original parts/accessories that were supplied. I bought it direct from ITG here in Coventry and it was the very best part of £400.
Some performance gains are avaiable, especially with a good cold air feed and...
I have just received this month's copy of Performance Car magazine and there is a little review of the Trophy vs the a 197 cup! :D
check it out (it should hit the shelves of WH Smiths in the next few days i guess). I would scan a copy but i don't have a scanner or the know how to put it on...
hi folks,
looking at changing the front pads and disks. looking at k-tec website, i know most favour the pagig rs4-2 pads, but talking to a friend who has an e30 m3 and uses the carbon lorraine pads which are also on the k-tec website. anybody have them or heard eny reports about them. it does...
There seems to be a worryingly high number of Trophy's that have had their gearbox replaced. I know most people drive them enthusiastically but the number still 'appears' high considering the relatively low mileage and age of these cars.
Am interested to get an idea:
1. How many T's have had...
Hi!
My Trophy needs new rear discs, now i know they incorporate the bearings so i would need to change them too realistically.
Now i know i should really get original renault bearings(probably skf or something) as i want them to last a good amount of time. And i want to get half decent quality...

Finally got a new K-tec Ultra performance Sports Exhaust along with a remap done on the Trophy.
Sounds great and the power delivery is smoother.
Very happy with the results!
So 219 is now 3 years old and at 26k miles, the annual service is due in December but its my intention to bring it forward before a small road trip to Wales.
Now how many people have taken the precaution of having the Aux Belts changed when there car got to 3 years.
I’m in two minds to...
think im gunna get my car dyno tested next month, but wanna know what trophies out there have had it done and what bhp and torques figures you have. would be intersting to see this with some cars standard and some modded and compare them
I get a knocking noise now and again under braking, mainly when im driving slow.
Braking performance isnt affected, Im just unsure whats causing it !
Any ideas .....?
Thanks
Guys can you give me your opinions on the above, been thinking of getting something but just not sure what's a good move, dont want to blow a load of cash for nothin really. Thanks
My Trophy is more than likely going to be sold unless it gets an 11th hour reprieve to help fund my wedding. At present im running upgraded brakes, maxogen and CAT back exaust. I have been looking at the resale prices on numberous websites and quite frankly the secondhand prices are shockingly...
I'm looking at spending no more than a grand on some performance upgrades on the Trophy. looking at the Morego (without cams) but not sure. Does a custom remap, filter and exhaust offer more value for money and if so who and where do you recommend?
cheers.
Hi all, I've been given copies of the two Evo magazines that review the Trophy. One copy of the 2005 Car of the Year and one of the shoot out with the BMW 6 Series.
As I have copies already would anyone like them? They are the standard copies rather than the subscriber ones which usually have...
Are synthetics better?
The basic benefits are as follows:
Extended oil drain periods
Better wear protection and therefore extended engine life
Most synthetics give better MPG
They flow better when cold and are more thermally stable when hot
Esters are surface-active meaning a thin layer...
Just wondering how many are now in the Northeast, Newcastle, Shields, Whitley Bay, Blyth, Cramlington, and so on. I have noticed a couple of new members lately are from the Northeast but i havnt seen another Trophy in my area for about 2 months. There must be at least 8 now.
I will start..

So many different reasons i'm guessing!
I bought mine as a daily driver to replace a boring VAG TDi barge. I have always loved french hatches, the handling balance and the way they handle bumpy roads is unrivalled by jap crap and german barges. Trophy specific, i always have to have good...
I'm thinking of upgrading my Cams. I've been looking at the K-Tec performance Cams and the Schrick Billet Camshafts off Yozzasport. Has anyone got these and can you tell me why the Shrick cams are £200 more expensive? They both claim to retain good idle etc. but do you know of any issues...
The time may be coming to move along from 193 :( Just think something bigger might be in order for the new year. Just thinking what could replace it now. Suggestions welcome. I do about 10-12K per year, motorway commute in the morning, so something that does that with the fun factor too.
After driving my Trophy my mate just had to have a RS....
