I'm thinking of doing it and I know you block off the small pipe going to the block, but how have people blocked off the pipe? I don't really want to go shoving chewing gum down the pipe  I'm guessing some kind of plug with maybe a jubilee clip to hold it into place?

Bought Aug 06, now the second owner.
Got used to the 'tomato' now, handling is out of this world on my way to work down wet, greasy b roads.
Treated it too, ITG, boot net & shelf (bloody great) spare turini, silvervisions, soon to have wiper arm mod & lube & filter change.
Did my first trackday yesterday and i have to say that i enjoyed it even more than i expected too so i am counting the days down to the next one. I do have a few questions though for you guys that have done more than one and have upgraded their cars.
My trophy is standard and i thought the...
Today I took the spanner to the car and completed the obligatory induction modification.
I however routed the intake pipe slightly differently and also used the old pipe as a feed for the second air hole intake to the front of the box (currently taking in hot engine air).
I also played...

As I had today off work I decided to modify the air-intake system on my Trophy by removing the air-valve located near the horn to see what would happen as most after-market CAI on the market (ITG Maxogen & Viper etc) recommend removing the valve on installation.
To my surprise the cars feels...
I've been using a cone induction kit on my Trophy and the heat soak is getting noticeable with the hot weather. I had the bonnet up the other morning and the cone was red hot. I was planning on putting the old airbox back on together with a new panel filter. Should I do this, will it make a...
Over on cliosport.net I have read many threads that describe the 182’s 5K kick.
I had often thought that these threads over hyped the kick as I can only just feel an increase at 5200 revs in my Trophy, but recently I drove Steve’s (sm wrc) 182 and his car really does kick...
Finally got my nice red samco hose. Been trying to think of a way to fit the breather pipe into it, Spoke to one of our suppliers and he has a special tool to fit it perfectly, as the original breather pipe fits.
Hope fully i will have some pics online in the next week.
If anyone else...
Hi all.
I'm seriously thinking about buying a Trophy in the next couple of months or so when the cash comes through and have a few questions. As always, after getting used to a car we start craving more power, however, with this car I don't think I'd go as far as increasing engine capacity or...
I have just ordered a nice red Samco elbow joint to get rid of the horrible black one which conncets to the Airbox.
Was lookingto get the rest of the hose sorted but tbh it looks like to much effort and once fitted half of the hoses are hidden.
I am also getting the ECU remaped at the end...
i gather someone wants to have a race ./duel / comparison im up for a race on a track ,never done it before but after 6000 miles of driving my car i feel i can take up the challenge now that i understand the car and its limits. where and when ? preferably up north- my car prefers the cleaner...
Guys I'm ready to order one of the following induction kits, and I am a little confused...
I'm between Bmc cda,Viper,Maxogen and a K&N panel filter....
I'm reading all the posts in the cliosport.net but cannot deside wich is the best for our 182..
I think that Maxogen should be the...
I have for sale a BMC carbon Airbox with fittings and a seperatly bought Samco 70mm 90d bend to fit it to the 172/182 throttle body.
The samco hose is brand spanking new still never opened in original packaging and the BMC airbox is in very good condition.
The BMC was fitted to my 206...
Looking at the air intake behind the n/s headlamp it appears to have an external bellows connected to the inlet manifold by a vacuum pipe. Presumably this is to do with emissions? Does anyone know exactly how it works and what happens if the pipe is disconnected, as I would guess is the case...
Was given a free induction kit by the guys at Powertec the other day.
Now i have already fitted my K&N Panel filter and is sounds great already, but was wondering what you lot think about the induction kit.
TBH i havent paid anything for it, so I am not losing anything by not fitting it...
