Listened to the new Chris Harris 'Collecting Cars' Podcast with Jethro Bovingdon and he mentioned he now has a Trophy... I wonder which number ? If you haven't listened to these podcasts they are well worth a listen
The chaps at Birchdown, Peacock Farmyard, Oldcastle, Malpas,, Malpas SY14 7AE, come very highly recommended and I have used them for a good while and been very please with the service, knowledge and prices..
Try and check the starter motor connector. It's a bit fiddly to get to, but if the manifold is cold you should be able to put your hand down the back of the manifold. Mine was loose a while ago and that solved it.
In the Summer I replaced all 4 tyres with Federal 595 RS-R. Very pleased with them so far, giving plenty of grip, although probably not the best for Winter.
I have a set of front Sachs, not sure of the history as they came with the car. They look in good condition and any rust looks to be surface. I would probably rebuild before fitting them, £400 collected from Shrewsbury would post at cost. Viewing is available if necessary.
I have an incomplete sets of Sachs i.e. no gaitors, bump rubbers or springs & was wondering what they are worth? I don't know when they were last refurbished but look in okay condition.
I will need a couple of new front tyres soon and with the PS3's not being readily available now I wonder if anyone else is running 'mixed' tyres and what works best, another option would be to replace all 4 and perhaps sell/keep the rears.
I was wondering if anyone has a washer blank (offside) or where I can get one from which isn't a too expensive. I know Renault do them but they are ridiculously expensive.... Thanks.
