Looking at a Clio Trophy this weekend! Any special things to look out for?

Hi all,

Looking at a clio trophy this weekend.

Is there anything to look out for?
I know about the suspension
Steering wheel wear

Is there any other bits to look out for?
Its done 60k and up for 6k Apparently immaculate?
2 owners from new
full renault history
only done 20,000 in 5 years

Any help would be great

Belts are 5 years so it should be on its either just on its 3rd set or needing them straight away if it's got full Renault service history.
seats do they tilt or are they broken?
how clean are the seat belts.. Sounds daft but to be the cars that have been cared for have clean belts as the silver is. Pain to upkeep.
pink plastic, not an issue but an added expense if they need painting.
182 gearbox can break with abuse.

do trophys come with carbon front splitter as standard?
it had a belt in 2011 @ 45k

No it's the usual plastic one as per any 182 with cup packs. They are fragile as hell though so often get terminated. The reanult price is so ridiculous that many turn to either a cheap skoda option or even a carbon fibre can be cheaper.

Belt that's not wildly out. Just remember it will need doing again in 2016.

I will be interested to see your feedback from that particular dealer. I personally didn't have the greatest experience when looking for a CTR, but they seem to have been going a while so must be doing ok. They certainly had a warehouse full of performance vehicles.
