Can you remind me what tubing I need for the bottom of the Eibach original springs? Mine are still in good order other than the tubing at the bottom of the few coils which I ripped off today.
Thanks
Managed to have a day free yesterday where I have managed to get lots of bits and pieces for the Trophy, which included new power steering fluid, gearbox oil and new drain plug / seal, fresh oil and all filters, throttle clean, new powerflex rear exhaust mounts and replacing a monkey chewed...
Only just stumbled across this, mine have been refurbed twice in their life, 1 piston replaced last service - might have to check when they were last done!
Remember seeing your workshop build pictures, absolutely fab and completely agree, would rather have yours over some of the junk ones seen on the market probably with FRSH!
I have racked up just over 128,000 miles and use the car near enough 2/3 days a week for commute and daily for small trips and to put a smile on my face. Am going through the stage now where I want every nut and bolt replaced and moving away from buying a sensible 'family' car.
Mine failed on this last year, the connection ports on the rear lights were a little green, screwdriver wrapped in sandpaper and cleaned up the points and all sorted - no more disco lights when breaking!
Perhaps a replacement runner is the way forward rather than the small piece. You would need to remove the bolt to fit the memory piece but they appear to be sealed / welded in.
Haven't 'played' with my suspension settings for a while and one of the adjusters doesn't turn and click.
Has anyone had any similar issues? If so is it a case of lube and gently twist to loosen?
Have had new adjusters twice unpinned, the last time with the blue dials.
Completely agree, although my location down in the SW is never the best for the well known experts. My mechanic has all the genuine locking tools and built a 360 bhp Turbo 182 so he knows his stuff. It was reassuring to know that it was a mechanical breakdown in one of the pulleys so just 'one...
Well what an eventful few days it's been, the T had an oil top up at Eurocarparts and slow drive back to my work and - BANG the car sounded like it had a terminal failure. Just about ran, heavy knocking from the top end under load, almost failed to start, AA guy guessed cam shaft fail, then...
Remember a few years back now I found some on Parts Reunited.com which searches all dealers for redundant stock. Bagged a pair for around £100 delivered if my memory serves me correctly.
worth a punt.
........have had a very frustrating few weeks after the T was finally paid for outright. I think it's just been a month of 'doom' but hopefully the rectification and replacement of various components will see the T right as rain!
It started off with a very continuous issue with my Janspeed...
Have a friend who a technology technician and he kindly knocked me up a set today!
Great idea which will hopefully give me a stable lifting point next time!
Took it out using the video on YouTube and was very straightforward to say the least.
Cleaned all the contacts and sprayed the unit with contact cleaner and runs like new!
Found a motor at Eurocarparts and they are approx £80 brand new!
.....
hi all,
has anyone had their heater blower motor failed?
Give it a tap and it jumps into life, albeit it sounds rough!
Wondering best place to purchase a brand new one and how difficult it is to remove?
Thanks
I've had pretty much all the problems you've listed.
Must order some of those struts as mine are dead! The gen Renault ones were £165 each the last time I checked.
Managed to replace my heater panel but what a nightmare!
When I cleaned the seat belts I used soap powder in hot water and...
Hi all,
The T has been a little jerky of late, random sporadic speeds, nothing permanent. Mpg is high, does not seem to be drinking fuel, both lambdas replaced last year, and no warning lights.
Any ideas what this could be?
Thanks
