I have this fault as well at the moment.
I have changed the brake pedal sensor to no avail, not sure what to do next really.
Let me know if you have any luck!
DON'T
If you want peak figures, this isn't the kit for you.
Its the way it delivers the power that makes this product. I recently drove a friend's 172 which had similar performance to mine before the kit, it felt flat as a fart in comparison, it just took forever to climb through the revs...
Renault locking tool, they at least used the right kit but I would say the timing could be out. The amount of ''specialist'' horror stories I've read about is shocking. Getting the timing checked shoudl be first port of call IMO.
Whereabouts do you live?
Maybe if it really protrudes, but not enough to reallllly cause a noticable problem.
Have you noticed a lack in power since having the belts done? Incorrect timing could cause this..
Sealing the inlet manifold is not necessary imo, that is what the gasket is for. Unless you were experiencing a constantly high idle then there is not an in-leakge problem.
Now you will have to scrape and clean the faces if you want to take the mani off to change plugs etc
I have both strut braces and whiteline ARB.
The braces are purely for show but the front one is a big regret of mine. If I want to remove it I will be left with holes on the top of the turret :|
Rob,
With the caf removed yes it should feel like it revs a bit more freely at high rpm.
I have tried quite a few CAf / IK variations and found ITG maxogen to be the best. I put it down to the choked flow venturi style inlet increasing air velocity. Wide mouthed systems that ''remove...
No cons to removing the AV.
It is there to help it pass EU noise regs. Under load the valve closes a bit.
Unplug the cable, unplug the vacuum line and block the hose, stash both somewhere, remove the valve, happy days.
The both have a cold air feed.
The upper one has a small vent in the grill (get eye level with the headlight and look through)
The lower one is fed from the grate/grill thing on the floor of the arch liner.
I've been trauling through suspension threads for the last hour and can't find an answer.
Where does everyone buy them from?
And,
What is 'revalving'? Is it just matching the damping settings to OE spec or is it something specialist that the likes of MF would do?
Thanks
