What are the commons things that go on a Trophy? I've heard something about the engine mounts, passenger recaro rail and the ecu bracket.

The reason I ask is because my warranty runs out in a month or so and I'd like to try and get some of these things done before then.

Thanks in advance

What number do you have?

We have a specific thread for faults on the Trophy - it's stickied... that would be a first base to check.

Good luck if you undertake any warranty work (or hope to...!) Renault dealers ain't been to hot in my experience. Such as when the Renault dealership near me said they'd fix the passenger Recaro issue under warranty, only for the Renault Specialist Technician to claim the Recaro's aren't standard and were added by myself... hence a £300 bill! Of course I disputed it and got fully compensated but still... #-o

No mate - this was Griffin Mill near Caerphilly, South Wales. Mind you, the main dealers in Cardiff weren't much better with the other issues I had (and when it came to the aux belt change, don't even get me started...)

Never taking it back to Renault again. Independant specialists for me from now on. 8)

Reno are crap, if they hired some people from this site, or CS, RS, and the pay was good the customer service would be first class.
Every run in i have had with them under warranty appart from one has ended in me paying out. Warranty = pointless in my world.

Chaps,

Sorry to bring this thread up again. My warranty ran out yesterday. Phoned Renault who said I can purchase a new one, but have 6 days to do so. £790 for a 2 year warranty. Do you think it's worth it? Has anyone else extended their warranty?

Simon.

Forget it, SirSimon, if you have £790 worth of repairs over the next 2 years you will have been very unlucky imo. Put the money in an account with interest just in case or spend it on mods and/or trackdays.
