I've heard that you have to pay for any damage to the track (armco, clean up operations), the recovery vehicle, and for any lost revenue that would have been taken whilst the track is closed...that could end up being really expensive, and it would not be covered by trackday insurance as that only covers your car!

This is my concern too.
For example your brakes may still be fine but the person behind you may have pads that no longer grip very well and will just end up in the back of your car...

im not sure that trackday insurance will cover you for this?

pootle said:i always use competition car insurance for my trackday insurance. they do cover you for the 'ring on normal days (ie public open days) but be prepared to pay almost £200+ per day for it...
